I got TDR2k yesterday (US ver) and on every 5th race per area it freezes on AI O' Death Refueling. I'm not even using a CD crack like I do with most games (too lazy for CD switching)
Has anyone else had this problem? And, more importantly, does anyone know how the heck to do something about it?
specs: 750mhz P3, 128RAM still got 3.9 gb free on HDD, and my nice new GeForce 3 (VisionTek, 64mb DDR)
Obviously... it's hard to imagine I have the settings too high
updated to latest GF3 drivers and ran CD-cracked ver instead (Static-X's new albu fit very well
Incidentally, I had another version *cough* before I bought this-- and it did the same thing. (Purists: I planned on buying it anyway, I usually do (always do actually, except the games that suck...)and don't always do it in the first place)
well what i did was used the Level Select cheat and played the missions because the missions aren't overwhelmed with AI if there is AI, you can still beat the game, but you'll be skipping the buying of cars and just playing the levels with # other cars, but no matter what just beat the game and you'll get access to all the cars... and you can always start a game in free driving and add players for enjoyment
That happends for me, still does. The reply from SCi tech support (Yes i actualy got a reply) they said play the first area without buying any cars (Hard i know) and it should clear up. It did for the next few races where it ususaly froze up, but nothing after that.
I contact the people from SCI and XICAT and told me the same fucking thing... "UPDATE DRIVERS, DOWNLOAD NOSEBLEED, USPATCH, TURN OFF LANDSHADOWS, RESIDENT PROGRAMS, RE-INSTALL GAME, BLAH BLAH BLAH" and its still freezing!!!!
I can't even play the stupid game!

Everything is update and upgrade so don't tell me that! and I haven't buy a car!
