Coffey, will you do the honours?
Re: cwa. when you say!
Ok don't remember exactly. It must've been late '98 or early '99.
So I guess it's about 7+ years now!
It was Beast, Napalm-X and myself what got it started, people had to have a Carma site and were required to have rotating banner script that would point to other member sites.
we went through I don't know how many cgi bulletin board scripts and various domains trying to get something that worked the best.

Re: cwa. when you say!
Coffey man, your age is getting to you.
It was you and Napalm-X that started it. I came along for the ride, at least a year or two AFTER you started the whole shebang.
And the CWA was started in 1997, if not earlier.

yeah, i got c2 right around when it first came out and i remember seeing some sorta cwa icons on carmageddon sites.... It's amazing how sucessfull this game has been, if only the dudes who made the game could see.
Re: cwa. when you say!
couldn't been earlier 'n 97. C1 came out in '97
and I think it was the frustations we were having on the old CFC board
that prompted creating a new one. (look which one is still here - )
C'mon you were in it early, too.

...why do we keep writing things down here...?
Re: cwa. when you say!
It occurs to me that I've been here for 4 years. And that really makes me wonder where the hell 4 years went. It feels like 2 years max.
Re: cwa. when you say!
Just did some checks - yeah, Carmageddon came out in early 1997, Splat Pack was out in November 1997 (I'm looking at the poster right now). So I'd say that the CWA Board was here in mid to late 1997.
And it was in response to Mark's Carmageddon.com board - he wouldn't let other people post links to their sites, and their work on it.
And I joined at least a year after the CWA was started - I'm absolutely sure. I remember the board was offline for some reason, I e-mailed you about it and nagged, and you said I should do something about it. That's when we moved to the Gamers.com forums.
Damn, it's been ages.

Re: cwa. when you say!
I'm sticking closer to my original dates
I'm looking at my very first carma file the "meatwagon" skin for grimm, it has a time stamp of 2/16/1998.
I was on a mac then and everything was released a little later than the PC version.
I think I played the demo for months before I bought the full game CD, so maybe mid '98 when CWA started.

Re: cwa. when you say!
I'm here since July 2005 ...
I could have been here a lot before but I didn't have the net.
So I didn't know that there was such a great carma community !
I'm a carma fan since carma1 ... I searched it for months since I discovered the demo.
When I saw it in a shop, i was ready to make a bank attack to buy it !
