Re: Screen Shots
The cars from the PSX version would fit C1 a lot more than C2 IMO (would look kinda dull). The tracks however could work in both. The format is totaly different from BRender and thus we never ported anything from this version. If you can achieve this Errol, I think the Great Ressources Gathering will be over as the tracks from the N64 version don't bring anything worthy, same with the 3D mobile version.
As in TDR2000 the PSX Carma had coloured lighting if I remember correctly, and a dark atmosphere set through low lights. Kinda difficult to reproduce in C1/C2.

Re: Screen Shots
Not to mention the "Timer on crack" / screwed up game mechanics syndrome!
This is progress?! What has science done?! etc.
I remember when I had to run it software mode...
The 3D hardware on der compen was so shit that the game would run at no better than 10fps (and that was in a race with no other cars, and everything but car detail turned down to the minimum?!)
The only time I used hardware acceleration was when I needed to take an in-game picture of the newest car I was uploading?! And this carried on well into 2002...
But yes, I'd play it now and then if it still ran correctly.

Re: Screen Shots
I never had to run in Software mode, even when the game was new, it was always D3D and when the newer range of Voodoo cards came out, 3DFX. It's a shame really because now I can only experience Software mode as a novelty. Just doesn't provide the same memories as playing back in the day.

sorry for double post, but here's a video showing the Hell track from SP in C2. I wonder if there is anyone who can't finish the race.

Yes, nice song! They remind me of Mekong Delta. Their influences are all my favorite bands Thanks.

Re: Screen Shots
Those monster trucks look fun! Is their scale right though? I don't know if it's an optical illusion but in the second pic the body of the red car underneath looks tiny in comparison.

Yeah, the yellow BMW monster truck looks nice. I must say I am quite impressed with how many cars you have already made over the past couple of months...
