This is what happens when the steering column snaps and the car decides to swerve off the road to headbutt (and destroy) a wall...

Don't worry, that was over a year ago, these are old pics I've just found again...

Insert something about 'she' not being able to say anything, but flashing lights and opening/closing doors in an excited Herbie like fashion.

She's done that once when the spotlights came on for no reason, blinding the oncoming traffic... took me ages to calm her down :-P

Now THAT doesn't look legal.

I wouldn't want to be run over by a bug with that bumper. =p

Was wondering when the next 'Hemlok' update would be - definitely looking like a car I would NOT want to meet whilst I'm walking the streets!

Looking good, though it needs more spikes!

Just what I was thinking... I'll have to work on that :-P

MOT coming up next month, so any 'fancy stuff' will have to wait till I've done any work that needs doing to pass...

Like removing the stuff that will cause it to fail by any chance? :p

Nope, nothing needs removing for the MOT :-P

But I have had to add something... specifically a piece of metal in the rear floor, just about the spot where there wasn't any ;-)

"Just have a look in the boot... oops, I appear to have nudged you slightly and you've fallen in... and now the bonnet's slammed shut and you're trapped in there... yes I can open it, but I'll need an mot pass first..." :-P

(yes, a Beetle has a bonnet covering the boot...)

No wonder you linked this in your sig. I'm a little bit lost for words to describe how good this car looks. The Carma sticker on the back is just the cherry on the icing on the cake. If I ever get the time & find a suitable motor I would love to do my own Carma inspired car.

One thing though. Where the fuck do you live dude? Me & Shane are both residents of the UK & so many parts of your car would not only fail an MOT here but would almost certainly get you arrested the first time a pig (cop) drove past. Specifically the spikes, bumpers & mirrors. All very much illegal here! I've often wondered if I could find a foam like material that looks like metal to make fake spikes but I'm guessing yours aren't fake!

Yes it is lol. Are you seriously telling me that car is your main form of transport, you live in the UK & it just passed a genuine MOT?

Why the secrecy?? I'm genuinely curious here! Please don't force me to search the web for answers. I just wanna know if I can put metal spikes on my new car without getting arrested!

I don't think Plod would take kindly to big metal spikes on a vehicle ;-)

Why the secrecy? Cos I'm a fugitive from the law, for a crime I most certainly did commit... honest :-P

Customised my speedo from the dull (and too dark to see at night) green it used to be to a more Carmalike red...

That speedo looks gorgeous Toxic! I'm sure the standard dials in a Beetle are almost the same as the early 911 dials, and so I also recall how bloody hopeless they are at night. I'd have LOVED to have that sort of look in my '74 3.0L RS lookalike! Would've matched the red rear rollcage and 3-point harness perfectly (ahh, I miss that car...).
I was in the war.
