'Peds on map' powerup location

There's a little discussion going on in the forums on how to create maps with powerup locations. I've been thinking about this too and thought the only important powerup would be 'show peds on maps'. I've made several screenshots of the maps where I found them so far. The players location (red arrow) shows you where a pickup is and the red line is how to get there:

Maim street (By Ultimasnake)

After the second checkpoint drive just up to the building you will driver underneath and take a right. Take the jump onto the building and grab the powerup!

Drive from the start until you enter the cemetery, the powerup is within the churche fences

Drive to the shown area and take the double jump onto the building. Mind your speed because if you go to fast you will jump over the second ramp.

Pit stop: (By Ultimasnake)

Drive to the shown area and just follow the route. The powerup is on a lower part of the level then the shown checkpoin!

Industrial injury: (By Ultimasnake)

Drop into one of the chemical pools and drive towards the east, follow the shown line to enter a tunnel that will bring you to the big chemical pool in the center of the factory. The powerup is at the end of the tunnel.

Avenue of atrocities (By Ultimasnake)

There are 3 little buildings and a ramp placed in the middle of the square, the ped powerup is on the last building on the left edge. Take the jump at around 100 (mph/kph??) or use the instant handbrake on the first building to stop in mid air above it.

Head to the bottom right corner of the map, cross the acid to a dead-end with the power-up

Maybe you could even complete your post with screenshots of the powerups in their place? Might help players identify the location more easily?

Although nobby has said they will be giving us the location of every peds on map pu I don't believe that info is yet available. In the mean time thank you for this snake. I've already learned the maim street location through your post. Came so close to killing every ped before the damned last opponent wasted himself on me lol.

I could do an extra screenshot of the location but they are easy to spot. They're always in black barrels which don't occur allot on the map. But I'll make them next time.

@the urban spaceman: I've learned that downgrading everything except your engine makes it easier to not waste everybody ;-)

Unusually have mine downgraded, but I had changed it for a differen race. Forgot to change back. Had only 50 left on fridge racer and last opponent wasted themself. And the winter map sucks for killing peds

Nice work man! I could use these locations.

I find killing all peds extremely hard because the opponents keep self destructing on me! The other night I nearly had all peds killed in the maim-street level. At about 20 peds left I accidentally slipped onto the last living opponent and BAM! race completed. :(

Fantastic work.

Looking at the results it seems the power-up appears in the same place for each race type. There are a couple of exceptions - could be explained by additional random ones?

And the same old problem. It's not the killing of ped's that's the problem, it's my opponents' determination to waste themselves by ramming me. I've even downgraded my "offensive" power up twice. Any other ideas?

I use Stella's Electric Blue car to do it. So, I downgraded offensive to 1st lvl, and trying to not collide with these dummies.

I've got the "minecraft" achievement! It's not easy, rly.

Arghh. The snow levels are ridiculous - three times now down to 1 ped left and just can't find him. The yellow can be impossible to see against the white. Pink dots anyone ?

I did Fridge Racer earlier, I've also got Maim Street and Coastal Carnage done. I did the first two without Peds On Map, they were pretty easy. Fridge Racer was more of a challenge though even with Peds On Map power up, had to study the map a fair bit to find some of them. It would be torture doing it in any car other than Stella Stunner's car, driving on the frozen lake is tedious as hell.

It looks to be impossible to finish the game 100 %. Fridge racer and Chiller are impossible to complete, I remain with 3 standing pedestrians and can't either see or find them. In Mist me and I scream the Sun I had a glitch in which the last ped standing didn't die. I run them over!!! having Stella for my car and nothing. I had them run over by police and opponents because the ped was moving on the exact same line over and over. BTW, I'm playing on iOS but must be the same on PC with the glitches. Back in the 90's I haven't tried to complete the game, so I don't know i these problems are new or just reincarnated. Any ideas?

On the snow levels, don't forget about...

The underground sewer area.

The frozen lake.

The mountainside the bottom right of the map.

I did all those, but still, 3 guys are nowhere to be found. I ran out of time, which means it must have taken close to an hour wasted on finding the suckers.

Be sure to check the race route, sometimes the ped dots on the map can be hard to see on the green race route (especially on small devices). Also check near any check points or dead opponent cars.

^ yep. After five one-to-go attempts I finally cracked Fridge Racer - what a time waste. My tip for finding the last stragglers is take a screen shot (power+home), view it in the Photos app, zoom in and do a systematic scan. This pic should show the difference it makes, you may need a couple of screenshot due to the blinking action.

Nice post daedos. What a cunt! So far I've only actually completed pit stop by killing all peds but even then I got down to one & couldn't see it on the map. I had already seen mention of peds being hard to spot on the race course so I just did a lap & sure enough I found him. That fridge racer screenshot though. Damn.

So I'm almost done with everything. I've been using the PNG's that were in ilgattobazilio's post, and they've been spot on for the most part. Unfortunately, I'm stuck on Desert Storm. The location of that power up has been in the same place on every other version of that map (up on the roof of the tunnel in the middle-left of the map), but it's not there on Desert Storm. Anyone know where the power up is on that map?

Each blasted location uses a different translation, rotation or scale. I mean, different from the ones specified on the transformation matrix. It's like each one has a different way of reading the matrix. I haven't found the time to try to solve it, but now that the weekend is rolling in, I'll try doing something tomorrow.

Found the one on Desert Storm. Checked it a couple times to be sure it's always there. It's in the high 3-way split road indicated on this graphic. (Ignore the spot with the X through it… That's where it was indicated incorrectly.) To get there quickly at the start of the race, drop into pit that is immediately to the left of the first yellow and black barricades that you come to on the track. Take the ramp up into the high road, and go right at the first fork, and left at the 2nd. The black barrel at the next fork is the Peds On Map.

This thread is great, thanks to Ultimasnake for getting it rolling... I think I should link to it when we do an "official" reveal post (although this thread actually makes that largely unnecessary!). As you've now all noted, the Peds on Map PUp is at the same location in each map, no matter which race is taking place on that map.

After completing the game by wasting and completing laps in every race, I equipped myself with a powered-down Electric Blue and began the Kill all Peds run-through. However, when I got to the desert races, I found that the place I'd cunningly put the Peds PUp there was IMPOSSIBLE to get to in Electric Blue! I could not land on that damn platform! So, in an Update, I added the PUp to the raised linked platforms (which never really got any use in the game before) so that everyone can get to it.

Something that would really help with the Peds on Map power up, is instead of just blinking yellow, the dots would change color as they blinked (blue, green, red, yellow) so they'd stand out more against different backgrounds.

A great thread indeed, I agree. I also wish I'd checked it again after my numerous attempts to find the damn thing on the desert levels. I had saved the dropbox link to my iPad and checked the screenshots before each race and for the life of me couldn't figure out why I'm not seeing the PU where it's supposed to be. And I must say it IS possible to reach the PU in Electric Blue up on that platform ;) Does take great determination and plenty of luck though and one hell of a WTF when you discover the PU isn't there :D I did find it myself eventually, and thanks to you guys I'm now just 3 races away from Carma Nutter 8-)

I have just about given up on the game. I love it and had a blast with it. But now I am at 98% complete. I have completed all races by destroying opponents and by completing the laps. I have completed all but 2 races by killing all peds. The two remaining are Slalom Slayfest and Chiller. I get to 1 or 2 peds left and can't find them. I have tried about 8 to 10 times and it is just more frustrating than fun now. I was able to complete Fridge Racer on my first attempt to kill all peds but I must have just gotten lucky.

If anyone from development is reading these forums, please change the color of the peds on the map so they are visible on the screen. I have tried various tactics from looking at the map to screen caps so I can increase the map size and I can't find any that I am missing. I have done full laps to make sure the missing peds are not under the race route lines. I feel like I have driven every part of the map. Obviously I am missing something but even with the power up, I can't find it.

Hello!

Those snow level can be tricky! There are peds that are up on some of the peaks, particularly in the middle and to the west of the map. The last one that usually hides from me is on the small rectangle of land just by corner of the race route from checkpoint one on Fridge Racer.
