plaything 2 noob trouble
When I go into materials and make a new material and try to load a tif image 256x256 or even a 128x128 size one, it says "Error loading image file!"
I've read a manual on it, I googled the error, I searched in cwa but I just can't find the fix to this issue.

Not sure what you're trying to do but making a new Material works fine for me.
Materials >> New Material (Ctrl + M) >> Load (pick a TIF) >> Apply >> Ok

Re: plaything 2 noob trouble
I'm trying to skin one of the original cars, I'm going to try what you suggested.
*edit*
Ok something weird happened, I tried to load my tif file with the exact dimensions of 128, and it still said "error loading image file"
but when I went into the cared folder ,and loaded a tif from the car it
comes with, it worked... maybe it has to do with the paint programs I used: paint.net and gimp 2.8

You usually don't create new materials to reskin a car. Just edit the original TIFs.

Re: plaything 2 noob trouble
Ok I'll try that instead, as for the error I'm still curious,...just incase I wanted
to skin a blank car I made in cared, and put it in plaything2 to skin, will it let me put in a texture if it was in a tiffrgb folder?
Like I said before I did make it tif, and have the dimensions mulitples of 8.
Maybe it's because I didn't put it in a tiffrgb folder.

That and remember to save the image as 24 bit, 16 million colors. I've made THAT particular mistake before not paying attention.

Out of curosity, what paint program do you reccomend to use?
I can't seem to find any that can change to 24 bit 16mil colors.

Thanks for the input, things are actually working out, I found a decent color depth converter
