C1 - Mad Benz
C1 - Mad Benz
Felt like doing something Carma... here's what I've come up with
Flat lighting 3dsmax viewport screenshots, at 1.268 triangles, 12 256x256 maps and 1 for the wheels.
It's just a WIP, still need to remove some more polygons maybe, and work out the details on the textures.
Not even sure if that's gonna be the color, just worked out the shading and still needs some more work here and there.
Any crits and comments, welcomed

Colour me silly but isn't 12 256x256 textures a little over the top for C1? Most of it's charm is due to the pixelated low-res nature. Your car would stand out like a sore thumb.

Thanks guys!, and Errol you're right, those will be half it's size in game and with the right palette. I'm just used to work at twice their original resolution.

Good to see you're still around AdR.
The car is nice but right now it's closer to C2 specs, will be great in C1 nonetheless, esp. if you reduce the textures size.
Actually I thought you would go with a lower poly and more pixelarty model, as C1 specs are closer to NDS specs and you did work for that support if I remember correctly.

That's how it looks right now, removed almost 200 triangles and all textures are below 128x128 in 256 colors bmps.
Still need to research more on C1, to get the right palette, might even make a red version? dunno.
Also C2 is an option with higher res textures, if I'm in the mood to model interior details and that stuff
And yep, it's based off a 190 evolution, though I've decided to go with it after finishing the stock 190E model:

Hey AdR, i see it came out really nice, the lightning rendering you did :) All seems ok except the rims, they look too "flat" and from the center to the outside of the rim it looks like just one color? Also they don't look like a type of racing rims if you know what i mean. The Evolution used in racing had OZ Racing rims :)

Not a big fan of the brown one but the black one is most fancy!

@Errol: About the number, yeah, I wasn't considering adding numbers or stuff like that when I've mapped it, so both sides share textures. It'll be like that for now unless I have to export it again from max, then I'll add the new right side map.
@roadkill804: That thing on the trunk it's supposed to be racing fuel caps :)
Anyway, got it in game, dealing with some issues like this:
hierarchy is ok, TXT seems fine, might be something wrong with the wheels (they don't spin or turn)...? dunno, still trying to figure it out.
