Industrial Truck
The Industrial Truck is almost finished (model : finished, textures : finished)
But it crashes carma everytime I try to use it ...
So, it pisses me off (and I don't have any time those days).
If somebody wants to look at it, don't hesitate, here is the link :

It's all yours.

Fine ! Thank you Apex !
I'll maybe be able to finish it so (when I'll have the time for it).
But if anybody wants to modify it, why not !
It's for the community.

Re: Industrial Truck
After having a look at the txt file, I didn't find any reference about the tail light in the funk part ...
My funk part is empty.
And it doesn't work on my comp ...
(and this car begins to piss me up seriously )

Re: Industrial Truck
Just open another cars txt file.
Depends on what you want:
a taillight + indicatorlight for driving backwards = 4 codes like so:
START OF FUNK
RLTLights
constant
piss off
no fucking lighting bastards
frames
accurate
texturebits
VB
4
RLTLights,2,0,2,0
RLTLights,2,1,2,0
RLTLights,2,0,2,1
RLTLights,2,1,2,1
END OF FUNK
With that you have to got a texture which has the backlight 4 times in it, one is no light, 2 is with the indiciatorlight on, 3 only the brake light, and 4 with them both on.
RLTLlights is one texture, if you setup one texture on both backlights you just have to use one code, but if you have 2 backlight textures defined you need to use it twice and with the corresponding name
START OF FUNK
code here
NEXT FUNK
code here
END OF FUNK
Thats how it will look then.
Now for the braking light with just the braking light itself (so on and off) here:
START OF FUNK
LightB <<<-Texture One
constant
piss off
no fucking lighting bastards
frames
accurate
texturebits
B
2
LightB <<<-Texture One
LightBOn <<<-Texture Two
END OF FUNK
Whilst the 4 coding uses one texture with the original texture multiplied over it 4 times, the 2 coding uses 2 textures (Off which is texture one and On which is texture two)
Hope that helps...and never give up just have looks in other cars their files or read C2Scientist his tutorial

Re: Industrial Truck
Thank you TTR !
In fact, I don't give up. I'll continue modelling cars in Cared because it's fun !
But this car pisses me up. It's fun to see, but it's not fun to drive.
Too bad !
I'll use your tail light help in my next cars, but here, the Indus track doesn't have tail light.
It only crash Carma without warning (on my comp) ...
Dunno why.
I'll try to finish it once for all.
But be sure, I'll have pleasure to explode it against walls !

Re: Industrial Truck
Thanks you all !
Hey, Coffey, I'll try to have a look at it and finish it once for all.
But if I'm lost, I'll call you for a little help.
When it'll be packed, I'll give it to you to put it on your site.
You all gave me the anger to continue !

Re: Industrial Truck
Finally I released it ...
I followed your concils and it worked.
I used the C2's tut to create the BBOX and it worked fine too.
I sended it to Coffey cup, he'll be able to share it ...
thank you all again for your help !
Oh, and I wish to ask a thing too :
I would like the front axle to turn with the wheels.
I tried to declare it as a "FRPIVOT" in the txt file but after the wheel didn't turn anymore and the axle turned but exited from the car body ...

Re: Industrial Truck
The axle? You can however group that in cared with the wheel (if its in the middle of it)
If its not in the middle, open your car in PT2, in the groups list drag the axle and stuff into the front wheel group, then do tools->carma2->setup car and save as SDF file...done

Re: Industrial Truck
I don't know if axle is the right word.
It's the thing in the red circle here :
The car could be looking better if that thing turn with the front wheel.
So, I've got to use PT2 to do this trick ?
I'll try this this evening.
Thanks !

Re: Industrial Truck
Yeah do that with PT2
I dont know what they are called too hehe...

Re: Industrial Truck
Why PT2? Making the (I think it's called a 'yoke') turn with the roller is just editing the txt file. That's all I've ever done to get a driver's head to turn or to get the gun platform to turn on the warthog.
I can take a look at it M_A, where'd you send it, btw? my hotmail?

Re: Industrial Truck
Hey, does anybody want to make a skin for this truck (when it'll be online of course )?
The one I did sucks ...
The only thing well skinned is the thing "I don't know the name" which hold the wheels.

Re: Industrial Truck
Yeah then you got to do it, but seeing this has to synchronized with the wheel itself and turn with the wheel it has to be in that group, the FRPIVOT one, it will automaticly put in the center of that, i think...and its easier..
But i could be horrible wrong ofcourse

Re: Industrial Truck
Yes !
All the gears spin ! There is 5 blocks of gears that spin. And you can see it by opening the side door of the truck or by hardly hitting a wall, the sides fall apart letting you see the inside.
But I've got another prob : the gears are spinning but there are "ghost" gears that doesn't spin.
It appears at the beginning and go when the truck hits something. And it reappears when I repair ...
Strange isn't it ?

Re: Industrial Truck
In your car folder you will have something like:
carname_SHELL.dat
Delete that and the 'ghosts' will disappear.
I used to have the same problem with wheels sometimes, so now I just delete the file by default, regardless of problems or not. (carma doesn't seem to mind)
