DOS pixies extractor
I know, I know, CarEd can do it, but still, I need a DOS program that can extract the Pixies-files. I remember someone speaking of it, so a program like that should exist. If it does, could you tell me where?
The reason of this, that I'm planning to release some modifications for the original cars of C2, and since they are packed as TWT-files, and the textures are as Pixies-files, which won't work until they are extracted too, I'd need such a program. It would just be easier for you, because then YOU wouldn't have to extract the TWT-files (my installer can do that already), and then use CarEd to unpack those Pixies-files. (The installer can't do that automatically, I just know how to make BAT-files, so DOS programs are needed)
Short version: My installer makes my modifications automatically playable and fast, but I need that extractor first. So, any help?
By the way, look, my 2^7th post...!

Re: DOS pixies extractor
Anyone? Seems like there ain't such a program...
By now, I have fiddled DeLorean: Here's a short list of changes:
- Each of the 7 spikes now have their own bounding shape. (Interesting bending)
- Better suspension & damping and ride height
- Better menu image
- Improved handling
- Realistic physics (I'll make a fun-version too, you can choose between them)
After that I would post that Bigdump modification. If there's not such a program, I can always pack up the Pix-folders too, it's just more downloading for you...(About 0.2 MB), while it could be only 0.002 MB if I had that program.

Hmmz, I see what you mean... to make your files smaller, you'll not bother with most of the game files, only perhaps the .txt and .wam that we need changed... and leave the model and textures to be extracted from our twt files. Interesting concept I must say. Oh, Rave when/if you find that file, I'd like it too please! I like simple little DOS files.
Re: DOS pixies extractor
Not likely. If it wasnt made public there was a reason.

Re: DOS pixies extractor
I hope you find it, Rave.
LJ: Yes, well, it's not much work to extract them from TWT-files, but I'd still want, if you didn't have to do even that.
By the way, it has new wheels now. 24 points multiplied by two sides makes 48 points, which equals to 92 polys. (Original wheel was 28 polys, and eight points each side) Very round, I think, but still not very detailed.
