Just wondering, does that site absolutely have to use FTP downloads? Some people, behind firewalls, cannot access the files that way. Is there some alternate place to download these cars? I could set one up if needed.

I agree with DrJones, because firewalls restrict FTP downloads i currently have to download things on my mates PC's, can i get around it? (I used to be fine with downloads)

Now of course, the big question is, are these straight-out conversions, or are these proper conversions, touched up to match the C2 standards (swinging doors, interiors, etc.)? Nope. Tell me when that happens, though, and I'll be the first to download them.

But what C1 cars HAVE been converted this way so far? Econobrick has done a few (Eagle, Hawk, Stiffshifter, Annihilator) as well as Slayer (Fraud Broko, Rig O'Mortis), and X-Ray did Heavy Impaler.

I was gonna mention The Stiletto...in fact, I was gonna post a comprehensive list of all these 'proper' conversions, along with driver names and people who did them, but then my post got wasted by accident and didn't bother anymore.

Ramraider is a big green jeep with a battery ram attached on the bonnet. (see attachment)

Hi, My name is Michal and I'm from Poland .

I have terrible problem with adding new tracks to carmageddon2. I have downloaded all converted tracks from Carmageddon 1 for Carmageddon 2. I put them into carma2 directory. I also copied Mapstockalypse to Carma2 folder. When i start that program I should have had those new tracks on the right in add-tracks blank. The isn't any additional track which i would like to install. I think there is the other way to install those tracks but how? I remembered i installed new tracks but that track had format c2t and everything was OK. So I would be very happy if you could help me solve that problem. Cya

for these maps you need to either

1: edit the races.txt by adding the new maps .txt in place of an old one (excluding missions)

<OR>

2: make a .c2t file and then use mapstock to apply the new maps

for expample, this attached .c2t file

how i make a c2t file is right click, go to New>Text document

then rename the .txt into a .c2t file and thats it

first option is quite easy but i think it's a lot of work.

personally, that makes no sence

A "Conversion" is when you take something (Car, Track, Peds, Texutres Or sounds)

From one game and change the format (from what ever it was to a format C2 can

support, thus the name Converting)

and then put the new object into C2 (its actually alot of work)

Maybe you mean "total conversion". I know only one for C2 and that is C2 Advanced. Get it here.
