fifty something - '57 Royal Lancer

Post by Slayer »

I've been working on this for a while off and on but it's nearly done, a '57 Dodge Royal Lancer. You don't see these too often as the '57-'58 Plymouth seems to have been alot more popular but these look meaner I think. All thats left model wise is front seats, glass, tail lights and few minor things, it's about 5500 at this time.

the front where the lisence plate goes, is a tad bit off (it looks to be anyways)

it shouldnt be so round, more flat

the shape of the logo on the front is a little off

and then the minor error with the attached pic,

keep up the great work man, i'm glad to see you still model cars!

Good to see that you lost nothing of your great modelling skills during your rather unactive phase, Slayer

I'm looking forward to take this lead sled for a ride...

metallica, good guess, but the 331/354/392 hemis were only used in Imperials and Chryslers, Desoto and Dodge had their own hemis ranging in size from 241-345 Ci , in '57 Dodges could be had with either a 245hp/345tq 4 barrel 325ci or a 310hp/350tq dual quad 325 "red ram" hemi.

If you're interested, here's a list of the various engines used from the beginning in 1951 until the end of the first gen hemi in 1958 ('59 for trucks)

For a moment I thought you meant the work you had done on that Plymouth amounted up to $5500. But then I saw the 3D things.

That first pic wouldn't happen to be one machine out of your own collection, by any chance?
