Hard Truck Apocalypse to C2

I just loaded HTA on an AMD Athlon 1800+ 1.53GHz, 256MB RAM, GeForce DDR 32MB (yeah the first GeForce).
It was in software mode and took ~5min to load ; it ran surprisingly well ingame :uh:
Ofcourse it's just software mode but at least it shows it's possible even on the lowest config.
It kinda reminded me Interstate'76~

This also shows that RAM isn't that much important, as I didn't encounter error messages.
I'm pretty sure all these kind of problems are version and patches/fixes related.
BTW, Alex, is that an US version you're running ?

Note : I don't think it's possible for anybody else to run the track in software atm as I twatted the data and didn't include PIXIES.P08. I'll probably upload a new version.

[edit] Ah ! Just saw your post... well congratulation then. Happy you got it to work :bunny: [/edit]

I figured I'd try installing the track even though my
PC's config is below what's recommended, but
I'm getting the insufficient model slots error too.
The V2 patch says its for UK version only. Bummer.

Yes, just make a backup of your C2 installation and just try the patch :uh:

I'll try the map too ...
Who knows ? It could work after all.

(greypoint map, for example, worked on my comp but was unplayable : too slow even with closer view)

@lex : Even if we don't care that much, we won't provide warez links to the full game. The best you can get from us is the Carma-Life mod which is a stand alone game, doesn't need the original C2 and is compatible with most addons.
You can download it there : http://rr2000.toshiba-3.com
