I'm going to bump this thread as my question might come in handy for future reference. What's the right way to identify vertex numbers in a model , to make a door hinge, for example? (Keep in mind I'm only using 3dsmax + Harmalarm's exporter script, no PT2 at all) The vertex #'s in 3dsmax obviously ...

I'm dealing with some issue with the 3dsmax exporter right now, but once we get that fixed I can take it for a spin in c2 at least, then c1!

Thanks, and nope, is not easy at all. Though it has a certain "Carma" feel to it, as there's a lot of editing on notepad, coordinates, trial and error, etc. Basically, the car is a bunch of bounding boxes connected together to make a structure, called jbeams: https://lh3.googleusercontent....

In the meantime, as I'm figuring out with Harmalarm's what could be wrong with the 3dsmax export/import tool, I've been busy with BeamNG. Those look great! love the packaging and how you made those photo textures work, I love the trains but the bus is my fav so far :rockon:

How about making some classic V8 engines in that low poly fashion, so they can be used on any suitable car? :cool:

Well, it kinda works now...

Now, wheels won't even spin, and they look... shallow?

@Errol: About the number, yeah, I wasn't considering adding numbers or stuff like that when I've mapped it, so both sides share textures.
