OK WTF? VanillaC2 not recognizing new car
I can't have gotten so rusty I forgot how to add a car to C2... I made a new car in CarEd, copied the car folder from CarEd to /VanillaC2/Data/Cars. Made a .c2c by renaming stuff in an existing one and naming it exactly the name of the new car's folder/act/dat/mat/wam/txt ran Carstockalypse.....Cars...

Ah, OK. That makes sense. And I can probably do that.... But I'm apparently missing a very important first step though. Er, um.. How are you getting into/displaying/unpacking/repacking the contents of the .obb file?

3D modeling and file manipulation on Android.
Oh I'm not new at modeling. I've been making stuff for C1 and C2 for years. What I'm referring to is modeling on an actual android device with fingers instead of on the pc. (The above examples being on my 'droid tablet.) So far I've found one very good app for doing so called Spacedraw by Scalisoft ...

Re: A work around for compiling models
Or is it blank like everythjng is black?
Seems the 1.2.3 or whatever latest version of ase2asc does strange things with colors and textures. It gave me hella problems until I got version 1.1.3 and then 1.1.4. Those work no prob. (If that's the trouble yer having...)

Re: 3D modeling & file manipulation on Android
Ok, so here is my very first attempt at making a simple terrain model in Scalisoft Spacedraw on my 'droid tablet. Coincidentally it is also my very first YouTube video, so naturally it sucks, but you,ll get to see what the hell I was doing. This was recorded using a free screen recorder which surpri...

Re: 3D modeling & file manipulation on Android
In Spacedraw, each panel allows certain gestures. The big panel where the grid is is where ya do the actual drawing. The small narrow panels on either side zoom in/out and the medium sized panels under the grid are (left=rotate view) and (right=pan view). All menus and onscreen operations are setup ...

Re: 3D modeling & file manipulation on Android
'K Having messed around with every app I could find in the Google store and a couple from 'unknown sources', I've found that the only true modeling apps are Spacedraw by Scalisoft and Autodesk's Formit (a lot like SketchUp). I have some time off for the holidays, so I'll get to play more in-depth wi...

Re: Trying to figure out how (Android Carmageddon)
I don't either. Never did. I just look for filenames I can add/substitute/change. My problem is getting the .obb open. Some folks say it has regular PK header and should work if renamed from .obb to .zip. Tried that. No go. None of the C:R tools I have will open an .obb file. Gotta find another way....

I have WadEdit. I have Flummery, I have Noesis. I have a hex editor.
What I have No idea of is how to get started looking at the data.
Does anybody?
