THIS IS WHAT CARMAGEDDON MADE ME DO! (pictures of my real carmageddon-esq car!)
Carma planted these seeds long before I was driving. As a result I saved this 1978 Mercury Cougar 4 door sedan from it's spot next in line to be crushed at a buddies wrecking yard. I built mock 50 cal machineguns, a push bar, roof rocket, whip antennas, whitewalls, and the next week drove it from Po...

Dear god make it playable without 'racing'! (With Value Added other ideas!)
1 and 2 are the only carmas. They are playable without trying to race. Turning the game into a racing game as 3 did was horrible, it took the exploration fun out of it. It was much harder to win the game by destroying the other drivers and lost a lot of sandbox feel. <br/><br/>I see no reason to mak...

1971 Buick Riviera, 1978 mercury cougar?
Has anyone seen a model for a 1971 boat tail buick riviera or a 78 mercury couger/ltd sedan? I'm a bit surprised if nobody has made a Riv model. I'm asking because I have a 71 buick riv right now that I'm gutting and making another road warrior car out of. It'll have a blower and scoop up through th...

<t>Indeed I do live in the rainy tree state. Rarely do I drive into Portland in this car. WWW.APOCALYPSEMOTORWORKS.COM is now alive and kicking. It's just one page but it's up damnit. More to come on it I hope when I get back. The picture don't have the police car style push bars, but does show the snazzy whitewalls :P

I have a 73 cadillac eldorado with the 500cu in V8 that I almost gave this treatment. The mercury is a better handling car though, and I need the 500 for another project.

This is my car. I call it The Merc. It's a 1978 Mercury Cougar Brougham sedan. Armaments include twin home built 50cal machineguns on the hood, a cruise missle on the roof, and soon will include GOTCHA style front plow, window mesh, about twenty more CB antennas, and a gatling gun on the roof. http:/...

These are an odd lot of cars. I think they'd fit into C2 great. I really dig the Olds corvette ripoff, I can't say it's any uglier than the corvette. I'll bet that nuke powered car would haul ass, probably have six electric motors powered by a generator spun with steam off the nuke plant...soooo...w...

Port Deer Hunter 2004 Maps????
<t>Have any of you by chance played Deer Hunter 2004? I've got the demo from Atari.com's North America sight, and the demo map is both huge, realisticly terained, and I think would be a grand landscape for a ralley course, or some sort of use into Carma. Don't suppose anybody could take a look at th...

Ambassador Skin (woot)
I love free time. I made a skin that looks startlin'ly like my 69 Ambassador from the back and sides and interior. The front is still fairlane but I removed the grille badge so now it looks like the front of a 66 67 AMC, which isn't bad, but I'd still rather it looked like the 69 ambassador front en...

Since there are already blue and purple skins with racing stripes (darn) I think I'll make an odd skin instead with textures taken off my Ambassador.

<t>I dunno, I'd sorta like a carma without a story. TDR is what happens when ya try and stick a story to it. Fine fine, I'll put them here then :P I'm thinking a blue skin, and a red and white one. Two tone paint schemes add a nice touch to cars I think. Been dinking with photoshop and made two versions of a red skin for the 66 Fairlane. I like the red on black with black top best of the two. Re: New vehicle on the way
Yeah, am quite familiar with the lil ol corvair. My father had 30 of them at one point. Most of those were sold or cut up for scrap in the 80's though. One of those was serial number 600 (maybe as low as 200, can't remember). When I was younger we had about five or six, a pickup, few vans, several c...

Safe as in, ya wouldn't last long. The E Z Target could probably stand a chance against an aluminum car. On the other hand...it might be decent for racing.

Yes, yes it is. Actually it's just a heavy duty vinal wood grain decal like station wagons have down their sides. It'd be a very plain car without it. That's part of the optional SST package.

<t>Yeah, I agree. Staying in car would be good, but some driver movement might be a nice touch, a head turn at least. I'd rather have a decent frame rate than an animated high poly driver anyway. I think maybe if you got wasted the driver model could detach and have rag-doll physics and then bounce ...

I just noticed over at DTD there's a motorcity online conversion of a 64 impalla. I'll see if that is a decent enough model to reskin. The skin didn't look that great in the picture, haven't installed it yet though.
