Not to mention the computer controlled opponents are insanely difficult to damage. Hitting one head-on at nearly 190mph will do about 9% damage to it and nearly destroy you're car. Great damage system, really... *rolls eyes*

Re: Do not buy TDR. why?
TDR2000 ran great on my old box, which was a slow Duron and a damn MX. You could spend about $30 on a new CPU, $115 on a KT7A or other good mobo, and $65 on an MX that'll play TDR just fine. That's around $200. I'm not suggesting you upgrade your computer just to play this game, but h...

Re: Game freezes when choosing new skins
I know you have the updates, but at carmageddon.com there is a patch that address problems concerning skins. I'm not sure if this is what you meant by updates or not, but I though it would be helpful to throw that in.

Re: GameSpy Arcade support for TDR 2000
<t>Here's my latest theory from more playing. Remember this is my own speculation:<br/> <br/> If the server is slow, you get a "ghost" image of the opponent, because the data hasn't "caught up." When you go to hit it the car, maybe something with the collision info makes the game realize that car is...

<t>I figured it out SloppyGoat. How Metallion "cheated." Well, I saw that in another game against someone else and it reminded me of what you said. Well, as soon as I would be about to hit him he would disappear. I bet if you turned down the recovery latency REAL low you could use it like that. The ...
