Re: What’s the one game you NEVER get tired of?

Mad Max RW: Gta3....wasn't that great. It gets boring after a while, and I have no reason to play it again. More reasons I think Haven is dumb: -the setting does not interest me at all -crappy looking graphics (candy colored plain textures) -when so many features are promised you know half of them ...

Re: What’s the one game you NEVER get tired of?

Mad Max RW: Once before I said Haven looks stupid. The main character is like something straight out of a child's cartoon. The whole fairy tale thing isn't doing it for me. Yeah, he looks sort of like a hobbit. But, other than that, don't you think the game will be great anyway, based on the gamepl...

Re: What’s the one game you NEVER get tired of?

Mad Max RW: Let's see Haven turn out to be another hyped, bug riddled piece of crap like every other game. They promise a lot of shit, but can't deliver. Who's 'they'? Midway? I don't know much about what else they do, but HAVEN looks promising to me. Have you even taken a look at it? You should: h...

Re: What’s the one game you NEVER get tired of?

Usually, any 2 player game is going to have limitless replay value, as long as someone else is there to play with you. As for single-player, the GTA series is just about the only one I've ever seen with such replay value, while also keeping the action hot. However, HAVEN appears as though it may be ...

What’s the one game you NEVER get tired of?

<t>God, sometimes I still find the very first version of Pac Man addictive! Lately, and I’m aware that I’m not at all alone in this, GTA3 has continued to provide me with more boob-tube time than I can almost stand anymore. That game just never runs out of things for me to do. I must say, I really L...

Re: If you could create the ultimate RPG…

What surprises me is that more people haven't heard of HAVEN. After I read the description, I thought for sure everyone would be talking about it: Haven: Call of the King is the story of a young hero's epic journey to free his enslaved people from the clutches of the evil Lord Vetch. Using Traveller...

Re: If you could create the ultimate RPG…

Takeshi666: Palladium? Sorry, I am not really into RPG's of any kind at all, I am mostly into action games. However, I WOULD be interested in RPG if it were 1st person...like Deus Ex or System Shock 2. AMEN! Why don't they get a clue and blend games like GTA3 & HAVEN??? That's what I've been sa...

If you could create the ultimate RPG…

<t>Don’t get me wrong. Final Fantasy, Morrowind, Zelda, Baldur’s Gate and on and on… I’m not complaining! These are amazing games. It’s just that I want to see more realism: same fantastic worlds and characters, but more fluid action with no interrruptions or cuts between scenes – as true to a real ...

Re: Most anticipated RPGs?

What about a Civil War game? Does anyone agree that a game which accurately recreates parts of the Civil War would be pretty cool? Seems to me that just about any war would make a good game, but the Civil War in particular sounds interesting to me.

Re: Most anticipated RPGs?

Well, I wouldn't dispute the point that the PC version is probably cleaner. Still, the environments, format, etc. - like you said, it just doesn't compare to new games. I played it on PS2, but I don't know what you mean by "does it have a PS2 port?" Did anyone take a look at the HAVEN desc...

Re: Most anticipated RPGs?

Actually, I rented Dues Ex and quit playing it 10 minutes in. I'm sorry, but I just will NOT tolerate sub-standard graphics anymore. With games out like GTA3/VC, HALO, MOH, Metal Gear Solid, etc., there's NO reason to "digress" to games like Dues Ex, where maybe the story and gameplay is p...

Re: Most anticipated RPGs?

<t>See, the problem I have with most RPGs is the action. Morrowind, like many others, is great for the sheer size and variety of possibilities. However, it's not like GTA3 or HALO in the sense that you really feel like you're there. Why can't they combine the action of an adventure game with the siz...

Most anticipated RPGs?

<t>In thinking about how I would invent the ultimate RPG if I could, it occurred to me that maybe there are some games coming around the corner that may tide me over for at least a little while longer…! Does anybody know what games are coming out soon that are at least as good as FF, Morrowind, etc....
