Hey devWAM members,
I'm all new here blah blah blah, anyway, the question I have is I downloaded Beaches of Bloods map, extracted it to the main directory everything went where it should, but Mapstock can't find my races.txt or find the new map either. I'm puzzled to get this working. I was able to install the Super Mario 64 Bomb Field to work..

Did you install it on a fresh install of Carmageddon? If yes, are you sure the data.twt file is extracted? I am not sure, perhaps Mapstockalypse does this automatically. What might help is using Carstockalypse first. Simply open up the program and close it again. This way, the races.txt will be found in the /data folder.
You can also install any map manually by simply changing the racenames in the races.txt file. Be sure to replace the txt names, as there reference to the txt files found in the actual race data map found in data/races/
Mapstockalypse is a bit of a luxury program for lazy people. You might even be quicker doing it manually :p

I'm with Harm on this one, man. It is so much easier to do it manually.
I have a very strict gun control policy: if there's a gun around, I want to be in control of it.

Thanks Harm and Outlaw
I'll give that a shot, I thought it had something to do with the data.twt.
I'll let you guys know if it works by installing it manually.
Cheers.

Doesn't look good, now it's just crashing at the level loading screen. :S

Hello,
I think that what you're trying to install isn't a complete track but only a track skin.
I suggest you first install the track itself (link) then try to install that skin again.
Manual installation is clearly the best for tracks. Even if it comes with a .C2T file, do the copy/pasting yourself, etc.
There are three reskin of this track, a famous one by C2S but not available online anymore I think, one by Razor (snow themed) and one by Mad Maxine.

Hi Toshiba,
Thanks for your help but it has also failed again.. I'm pretty confused now. I downloaded from the link you gave me and extracted to main Carmageddon 2 Directory. It still will not load the map.
---
Now it's saying can't open gas00.txt
any ideas?

Yes, my bad... forgot to tell you to install the C1 noncars.
You can download the package here.
Extract these files into your DATA/NONCARS/ folder.
