Network game crashes after a few rounds (C2)

Hey everyone.

Whenever my friends and I play a network game of carma 2, after 10 or so rounds, most users get kicked out to windows. Sometimes there is an "illegal operation" message and sometimes not. This happens with 98 and XP. Anyone else had this problem and found a solution?

How do you have the network game set up? It runs over an IPX protocol?

Yes it's IPX. I don't believe there are any settings in carma2; it seems to only support IPX. As far as network config, I usually set frame to 802.3. That's the only setting I ever messed with.

I seems odd, maybe a bug in the game then. None of their beta testers tried multiplayer to that many rounds?! I personally have never had anyone interested in playing C2 multiplayer with me so aside from my attempts between computers on my network (which didn't go well I think) I have no experience of this.

no. I talk to him regularly. He has a social life unlike some people here, no offence to you guys, but he probably he has some plans this summer. But, to assure you all if your worrying .. he still exists, and, no, he wont give it up. the updates on the actual website wont reflect anything. He doesnt edit much, thats more my job .. so land the blame squarely on me. Alex can update also .. but, atm, nothing to add. Just hold out a bit my friend
