I must be SOOO stupid....and I need help too

Okay guys. I must be one of the stupidest people I know. I bought TDR2000 a few days after it was first released and ever since then I've been trying to get the addon cars to work. I've looked through all the other posts about installing the cars but I just can't get any of the methods to work. So yesterday I finally downloaded the NBP along with the offical car packs. The new cars are really good but I still can't get any of the other cars that people have made to work. It really is starting to piss me off now so if anyone can please help me out I'd be so grateful.

first thing's first... did you get the upgrade patch from carmageddon's website? If not. get it and the us mini patch if nessecary...

Next.... Depends on who's car's you are trying to install...

Mine, generally come with an installer, but to use the installer, you will have to get the system.zip, from my site. Then you will be able to use them in the game.

Oh, the same applies for carmageddon's car releases.... you have to have the patch... hell.. you have to have the patch for just about anything these days.

Thanx for that, but I'm still havin problems. I decided the best thing to do was start again so I installed TDR2000 (Zombie UK version), the NBP (I got this from another site. Is is different from the one on the offical page? Mine is 27.9MB ), the US Mini Patch from the offical site and the System file. I've also installed the offical cars too. But when it came to installing the totally cool Die-ablo it all went wrong. It came with the little Carma install program and all went well (so I thought) untill I tried to run the game. All I got when it came to the TDR2000 is loading screen was a box that said :-

Application Exception

Error! Line: 400:

Current Line:

File Data:

and then under that a list of all what looks to be the car descriptor files.

So now I'm back to where I started. Have you got any ideas about what I'm doin wrong??

You wont need the US mini patch since you live in the UK, if you have installed it then that is the problem, and there is only one upgrade patch so it does not matter which site you go it from, hope this helped.

Runs great for me Beroc, always has, even the before relese die-ablo worked really great.

Well I'm happy now. After many months of tryin I've finally got the addon cars to work. And Beroc, thanx for the Die-ablo script. It's workin just fine now

Die-Ablo currently runs off of an older installer which is not designed for uk versions of Carmageddon.... You will have to tinker with the scripts to remove it... but leave the folder there.... And, I will email you the correct file to put in it.
