Carma Decor? Hell yes... [Big Pics x lots]

Post by Powdered Toast MAAAN!! »

I thought, since I'm going to redecorate my room, or move out of the parents soon anyway, I might as well begin a new decor for wherever I choose to live.

Carma was obviously going to be the theme.

I took some Hi-res screenies of myself monster truckin' on the Super Speedway track in C2.

Then I put 'em on my camera memory stick and took em to the photo shop. They have a machine which prints 6x4s of whatever is on your memory card.

Here are the results so far. I could only afford 5 clip frames though so only 5 prints are up at the mo. I have another 15 to go up once I get some cash.

It's kinda a tribute to Autopilot too. Most of , if not all of, the cars getting crushed are his!

The red truck is Econobrick's modified by Random Monkey, and the Pony Express monster Mustang is by Junkpile. All in all I'd say this is a project that will be totally unique and I'm totally diggin' it at this moment in time!

Crits? Qs? Hit em up here...

Now thats a good idea, hanging up game-pictures on the walls!

You should frame em!

Well. I would love to have them framed, but unfortunately frames are expensive. Clip frames aren't. Simple as. I think they'll look even better when they cover all my walls, and I might even do some TDR shots, or maybe Unreal 2004 or something too! I'm really getting into this!

Not only did I download it, I have used it in my future home decorating! How cool is that. Any of you guys ever come over, you're gonna love the place!

Oh TTR. You'll get up there as soon as you make a badass monster truck! Hehe... I know you already did monster masher but it's a little too cartoony IMHO for what I'm after. I'm creating stadium monster truck pictures at the moment only. I'll do some muscle car jumps and what not after that and gradually progress onto full on destruction! That's where your A team van rip off and the Meg Dog will come in very handy!!

Oh yeah! There is that, but you have come on so much since those earlier models. If you were to try say, your own take on bigfoot or something now, you'd make it absolutely perfect! I mean to say, you've progressed so much and If one of your future creations fits perfectly with my theme here, I'm gonna use it!

Take a look at the nashcar series of vehicles, and then compare to the A team van and Meg Dog etc. See what I mean!?

If you have a nice hi res (1024x768 or higher) of it then, yeah! Otherwise the photo machine won't use it...

Holy fuck buckets

That's one of the coolest things I have ever seen!

I feel so priveleged!

And here was me, sulking in the corner at having not seen any of my creations in anyone's screenshots. Granted, it's only a mod, but still

Hehe

That's awesome man.

I'll have to pay you a visit and sign one...

You're only down the road, right?

Never mind then, it's 640x480.

I usually do that so I can see the whole thing while working in photoshop. I doubt it'd get much prettier if I blow it up, it'll probably just show details I ingeniously masked.

I'll remember this for the next movie though.

Yeah Monkey... just down the road, take a left at the pub and voila!

Yeah I have more up now. A mate lent me the money I needed to get the extra clip frames! Heh, I got 15 of the things now! Only 8 actually on display though... Still gotta find somewheres for 'em to go.

I have those frames too... but mine are:

323 Landing

An old gf standing infront of a winnabego we played with

Me sitting on the hood of a B700, coincidently, the same one that did the dougnuts, only 2 years ago.

Also have larger frames packed with pics of cars/constructon vehicles doing things we shouldent be, meh.

How did you get those opponents to align so nicely for your monster truck?

he turned the ai off, added and what not, then pushed it around a bit, there is a good example of that on c2s website, he has about a good 20 cops lined up

Except that the examples shown on my website were done by an alternate method - by tweaking the start points of the opponents. (for the particular race)

Of course, even if done that way, the AI still needs to be 'switched off', with the "Frozen opponents"-powerup/cheat.

EDIT: I tried achieving an actual pileup as a variation of this technique... it didn't really work, but still, I captured a few screenshots of the failed test.

on tdr, if you add too many ai at once the game will crash, but if you add a variation of differnt vehicles, with a suppressor or something on a bottom, you can make a pretty good pile-up ... that moves, I had a few really neat pile up screenshots, one from the very tip top point of the police state looking down on the pileup ... but, you have to reset the ai status when you add new ones, its a pain the arse to keep adding them, but .. cool results
