Very good work, sir ! And thank you for the effort.
I used the same technic to make the terrain for the Bretret track project.
Don't forget that you can also optimize the terrain via 3dsMax. I don't know whether Action3D Reducer let you optimize smaller parts of the terrain or wheter you only can optimize the whole model, but 3dsMax is great to have different optimization parameters for different poly selections.

Anyway the exemple in your tutorial has a very good polycount in comparison with its size.

I don't know whether Action3D Reducer let you optimize smaller parts of the terrain or wheter you only can optimize the whole model..
If you have sub-parts, you can select them individually and apply different amounts of reduction.
Or you can just select the whole model and do it all the same amount, either way.

thanks for the tuturial coffeycup, even tough i am not sure if i am going to use these programs, since they are demos (shareware), and besides indeed 3dsmax does the same thing that those programs, BUT the tuturials will still be usefull of course, thanks anyways!
