The Borgnine (C1) (C2)
Re: The Borgnine [C2]
Heh, sweet. That was unexpected. Actually the pedestrain flamethrower is pretty close to a molotov cocktail for effect!
Bad neighborhood, Snake! You don't want to be walking from the Bowery to 42nd Street at night. I've been driving a cab here for 30 years and I'm telling you: you don't walk around here at night! Yes, sir! Those Crazies'll kill you and strip you in ten seconds flat! Usually I'm not down around here myself, but I wanted to catch that show. That stuff is like gold around here, you know.
[Cabbie casually lights a Molotov cocktail and throws it at approaching Crazies, which explodes in front of them, stopping them... and Cabbie speeds away with Snake in his taxi]

Oh man, you should watch Escape from New York, its a hoot. I don't know why, but Kurt Russel was always in the coolest movies. Like this one, 'Big Trouble in Little China' and 'Deathproof' and many more.
Minor quibble, driver looks more like Dick Clark Than Ernest. Mebbe I'll add a gap bewteen his front teeth to mine

Re: The Borgnine [C2]
It is one hell of a great conversion Toshi
If only Rockstar would have added damage physics similar to C2's in their previous few games. (GTAIII, Vice City, San Andreas, LCS, VCS.)
I think a few more GTA conversions should be made but I don't think there are many other cars in the GTA world that fit so well in the Carmageddon world as this one does.

i've got a weird bug playing this car in the timber track, i was fallen into the water and when i've tried to respawn, me and some cars beside me were blasted vertically (not away from the map) in the sky! XD

Re: The Borgnine [C2]
it DOES look good. I like the software look of c1 on this, the lower number of colors give it that edgy hard look, so I must say I'm quite fond of that retro appeal.
Re: The Borgnine [C2]
wow it's cooler in C1 engine! as Borgine said, the model looks smoother

Re: The Borgnine (C1) (C2)
Sorry for the mega bump but I didn't feel like making a new topic for this update.
I've added the cockpit from Quarantine 1 to the C1 Borgnine.
Played a bit with the HUD elements etc. It's fun.
Archive is update at Road Reaction.
More screenshots!
QTZ helped me with the formats etc. The levels from Quarantine are really great, too bad there's no way to port them over to C1.
Great video about Quarantine by the way:

Maxine where are you?
Maxine where are you?
Re: The Borgnine (C1) (C2)
amazing. cuz sadly i had not a chance to play Quarantine properly because of the game speed
Re: The Borgnine (C1) (C2)
That's awesome Tosh, what a good combo of the best driving combat games ever!
The Quarantine levels would really fit the Carmageddon atmosphere, it's what I like the most of the early games (C1 and C2), too bad C:R didn't follow that path.
