Vehicle in der works, oddly enough...!
This now!! Item be a vehicle which am mine favorite of its era...! Is 1973 Pontiac LeMans! Do look..!
5250 triangles be! Still needs:
-Dash
-Door panels
-Front seat(s) (bench seat for this version)
-Engine
-Front & rear suspension
-Wheels, durr!
-Misc. little details. Mirrors & whatnot
-Occupant!
Might as well add that I also plans on making a '73 GTO and '73-'75 Grand Am from it...! But when those'll happen remains to be seen. Soonish following the LeMans, though.

Re: Vehicle in der works, oddly enough...!
Kinda yeah, I have a couple of other models at about this range that are done, but with either no textures mapped or not fully that I really gotta get around to finishing up. A '63 Jeep Wagoneer and '81 Ford Courier... I'll get back to those when this is done I think.
Note of possible interest...! This LeMans would be the sister car of the '73 Chevelle (Rhiannon, even?!)
Not much is really similar other than the roof and chassis etc...which are pretty well identical.

Holy crotch rot thats awesome.. Not as awesome as a '71 but what can you do? ((well besides the obvious and cry like a little girl))
Re: Vehicle in der works, oddly enough...!
Hooray for replying to old posts but that's one excellent looking car! Maybe paint it a mustard/puke yellow or even brown with a tan vinyl top, faded thin stripe whitewalls and good to go!

I like the way Snrub thinks! This really should've been finished and available months ago anyway.
Maybe I should stop squandering all of this free time and return to squandering it on these endeavours!

That would be time well squandered! Remember as Abraham Lincoln once said: "Idle hands spend time at the genitals, and you know how God hates that" ! We should all reflect on that now. Amen.

Re: Vehicle in der works, oddly enough...!
Hard to say, that picture is a little out-dated...since then I did a little more work on the model, but it still needs a few things...
most of the engine (other than the block itself and transmission), front seat, steering wheel, and other minor bits.
Then it's off to the arduous task of texturing it all?!
Don't have much motivation at the moment, but I'd say I'll have it ready to go in...less than...several more months?! :B

Ah yes! Pontiac's impression of Richard Nixon's nose.
Nice one, Econo!

I know it is the wrong year, but you can't beat smokey and the bandit

If it runs, drives, stops, has a title, AND is under $300, I'll take it!
Re: Vehicle in der works, oddly enough...!
Dude! I want this variant -
I'm looking for a shot that shows the louvers on the back side windows...
No wonder I couldn't find it image searching for 73 Grand Prix - it's the Grand Am!
Do it! Do it! Do it! Do it! Do it! Do it! Do it! Do it!

Re: Vehicle in der works, oddly enough...!
am indeed planning on it! as they're not only neat looking, but the only things i'd have to make would be the different quarter windows, dash, and obviously the nose...but that would be all. (for a '73 grand am at least)
Even the front fenders and hood of a grand am are interchangeable with a lemans'...

Re: Vehicle in der works, oddly enough...!
Sorry, so you had said - I got so excited seeing teh picthurs that I posted without really reading your text. To be fair to me, I was trying to track down the car in my memory using Google, first thinking it was a Chevy Laguna, then convinced it was a Pontiac Grand Prix - only stumbling on the a picture of the Grand Am as it was referenced in an article about the Grand Prix.
I saw a Grand Am mebbe 20 yrs ago, solid white, wiiiide 'Vette meats at all 4 corners, lowered - but with a subtle rake to the stance; it made quite an impression on me. But talk about a car you never see! Out of sight...
