'86 ford ltd
not quite done yet, but i got to this stage in just 3 days which is rare for me lately:) i'm hoping to have it done pretty soon, monday maybe?
the grill texture isn't that good, i only slapped it on to see how it looks, if you're wondering, yes it will probably be high poly...4000 so far, still needs engine, hood, seats, chassis stuff, glass and a few details.
look good?

I love you.
Umm, about the skin O the car, ye recall the '81 Grand Marquis by ChevyII? Something like that could work with a lightish blue? Yes?
By light blue I mean, think "Beastie Boys - Sabotage"

Re: '86 ford ltd
this is gonna be a plain ltd, it's not gonna have the landau roof and stuff like a crown vic has. as for color i was thinking black or beige with steelies and dog dishes...i remember that video, that color might look good too.

Wow, nice one, Slayer! I can't wait for this car! Oh yeah, about the color... My aunt own that car (dunno if it's an '86 though) and it's burgundy with red interior. I think it would look good in game... But that's just a thought...

Re: '86 ford ltd
I didn't mean chaning the roof, I just meant that skinning method, might save the time, and looks pretty decent.

Re: '86 ford ltd
Sexy vehicle, Slayer! I think beige would suit it very well!
JabMan: Not too sure about those chrome-like skins. I mean, it just leaves very little room for skinning, you know, as it's mostly just one single color tiff... But I agree that it looks nice most of times.

Re: '86 ford ltd
Awesome! That's like one of my favorite cars! And non-vinyl roof? Awesome! I never liked those puffy roof covers anyways. Black or beige w/ dogdishes? That's gona be kickass! The black one would look like the MIB LTD. Can you please give it some bodyroll like ChevyII's Grand Marquis?

Re: '86 ford ltd
progress,
it's pretty much done other than smashable/opening stuff, as you can see it's all blue for now but i'll add some other skin combo's to the zip when it's done...came out to be quite high at 7024 polys but i'm working on a version with a simpler engine/dash and chassis to get it down to 4500 or so...

Re: '86 ford ltd
My mom used to have a sky blue '86 Mercury Marquis. And since these two cars look... almost the same, sky blue just sorta sits better with me than any other color, y'know? Good choice. Good car.

Re: '86 ford ltd
random, what's wrong with the interior? i know it all looks "too blue" but i dig the body color steel wheels look even though they were almost always
painted black when used with those hubcaps..btw, i couldn't find a decent pic of the classic "ford motor company" hubcaps and just used the ones you find on the newer econoline vans.
lunchbox, i like the blue too, but i'm gonna add a couple of different skins with it, beige, black and probably brown

Re: '86 ford ltd
Limo Version?
Re: '86 ford ltd
Very nice! But is it me, or is the front bumper missing the rubber molding? And there's suppose to be two black vertical "bars" on the bumper too. And the hood ornament.
Re: '86 ford ltd
Looks dead on perfect to me. And please release the hi poly version!

Re: '86 ford ltd
not all of them have the rubber moulding, the few pics i have of regular LTD's don't have 'em, same for the hood ornament, i think only crown vic's had that..as for the bumper guards, i seen a few that don't have them, most do but i don't like 'em:)

Re: '86 ford ltd
Nothing's wrong with the interior - it just looks like it's all covered in blue fur, like I said
*shrug*
I bet it's nice on the ass.

Re: '86 ford ltd
almost done now, i changed the wheels back to black. Just needs a simple model pretty much, and I oculd probably make the black skin a little darker...
jabman, if the tire pic is good post it and i'll use it
and kitteh, yes the hood bends

Oh well... It depend on taste, I suppose. I thought the blue wheels gave the blue car a nice style. Just like on the old Dodge Dusters and the old Roadrunners...

Re: '86 ford ltd
1 prob tho: The hood seems to stretch to double it's length when it crumples up. I know it can be fixed easily by anyone, but could you please fix it so that it's even more perfect? For those who DON'T know how to open up wams and edit the hood settings. Thanks.
Re: '86 ford ltd
that's the most dumbass thing I've ever heard from TTR . I was simply stating a problem of the car, and suggesting that he fix it.

Re: '86 ford ltd
Well, kitteh, I suggest you break the x86 assembly from its box, reverse-engineer C2 and post the result for all to see, b/c the problem you described is part of the C2 engine.......(in case you haven't noticed, it happens w/ numerous cars if you get hit at certain angles)
