Looking very good Coffey nice one! if I was going to be really picky I would say there is 2 too many wires, only actually 5 and the posts are too close together but I'm not so don't worry

Ok, five cables and the posts are about a car length apart now.

It was good that I actually planned ahead and made the fence out of sections.

Had a master section that I could edit and the changes would get updated throughout the map.

I'm not going to show WIPs of every little step, but I wanted to get the fences right since I knew it was important.

That's looking awesome!

I just realized you could make an invisable wall from the edges of the inner posts! That way the Opponents wont get stuck

Well, it's about done except for some last details and adding noncar tippables.

Have some questions though. When I look at aerial photos of track I see gaps in fences for access on/off track.

Should you be able to drive off track to the sheds behind?

id just have the fencing all the way round the track so that opponents cant go out of the track and into dog track, also sorry to be picky but could you start all the opponents on the back straight all the way down so we can fit loads of cars on, im not bothered if you dont as the track looks absolutely brlliant mate, a massive well done, thanks

Oh, they start on the back straight! I had a fifty-fifty chance and I was wrong. Yeah, I'll move them to the other side.

More questions about noncars I'm thinking of adding. I saw in videos I saw fuel trucks and tow trucks in the center green. I was going to add one or two, yes? Also tires around the inside corners. What else would be out on the green or should it be kept sorta clear?

Also maybe a few trash cans out by the stands even though no one will hit them, they'd add a little detail.

yeah please coffey, if youve got tractors that would be amazing because thats what they have down there along with the water truck, apart from that id say it was done mate, really big well done and many thanks from all of us banger lads

edit: Also i reckon the noncars on the green will have to be heavy somehow so the cars cant push them onto the track, same with the tyres

Looks brill coffey nice one! I would put an invisable wall round the dog track, stops cars getting flipped over the fence as the pit gate would be closed when racing is on. plus the spectator banking on the back straight is terraced and has billboards on the top as you can just about see from this pic

Image

but a minor detail so don't worry too much. They usually park tractors and water bowers etc on the centre green and yes theres a few tyres round the inside. Also Coffey I use these setting for shale materials,

// default material

2.0 // car wall friction

1.0 // tyre road friction

15.0 // down force

2.0 // bumpiness

0 // tyre sound index

0 // crash sound index

0 // scrape noise index

1.5 // sparkiness

3 // room for expansion

MUD1.MAT // room for expansion

Makes cars roll realistically if flipped, rather than just skid on their roof

Awesome work Coffey!

Now if I had done it, it would look like crap and take longer

I wanted it so bad I downloaded it, my internet was slow at the time.

It was downloaded at a blazing fast 6kb per second!

Dumb internet, stop 5 times and had to restart.

That's how bad I wanted it! To put up with that.

@Freddy Wow, hey thanks. That means a lot. I didn't really do a proper readme with thanks for the track, so.

Thanks Freddy, the links, info and feedback from you and Turnip really helped. I did use your default materials settings, btw.

Also used Maxey's texture sets for alot of it. And thanks to everyone who downloads it.

If you have Google Earth, you can view my Owlerton Stadium.

Thanks to Damo, sketchup guru for placing it for me!

Edit: Damo submitted it to be part of the 'google layer' of 3D buildings.

If approved by Google, it'll be part of the Google Earth map for anyone that has '3D buildings' turned on.
