OK, Awhile back I was having a problem running Vanilla C2 r1b. Holding down the accel or reverse key to drive caused the game (video) to freeze until I let off the key. The steering keys were no so much affected.
I ended up dumping Norton AV and it's (I guess) keyboard monitoring bullshit and got MSE. No more C2 problem.
How the fuck EVAR.....
Maxy's Truck Me! standalone mod is doing the exact same thing. Freezing when a key is held down.
Since day one I have only been able to play that mod using a gamepad-which truly sucks.
Only the keyboard is affected. Only in Maxy's mod. Regular C2 works goodly w/ keyboard..
What the HAYUL???
I'm running both vanila C2 r1b and Truck Me! using Zeck's glidewrapper on an Acer Aspire One netbook under WinXP SP3.
Grrr... Anybody got any suggestions?

Re: CRAYUP!
just mentioning the highly obvious, but have you disabled the keyboard monitoring for specific programs or for the entire system?

I suck at technical stuff. But have you accidentally turned on "sticky keys" or have some accessibility feature enabled?

Harm:
I looked in MSE's settings and I don't see any options for disabling (or enabling) anything to do with the keyboard. It's only Maxy's mod that's affected. My regular C2 installation works fine.
Coffey:
No stickykeys either. I'm assuming that would affect both installations.

Oh sorry, thought you were saying it happens on both installs.

Re: CRAYUP!
D_B: Sounds like it might be something else than the antivirus then maybe :/
You can try copy-pasting the executable from Vanilla C2 to Truck Me and see if it makes a difference. Or wait for the next Truck Me release, I know Maxine decided to base it onto Vanilla C2.
Could you also try something that doesn't make much sense but seems to have an impact on the game: renaming the main folder to something else. It makes a difference now and then.

Re: CRAYUP!
You mean rename the Truck Me! folder, yes?
OK. I'll keep hammerin' at it.
