Well I recently got a new pc and copied over my old carmageddon installation. So i neaded to change a glide wrapper.
Now i'm using zeckensack's Glide wrapper whitch couses me a little problems when driving. On small closed placed it coused an annoying video distortion (the video isn't smooth enough) and the sound seemz a bit trashy...
It´s important which glidewrapped version do you use. I have 0.84c and everything is ok, but before it I used 0.78 or something like that and there were some problems with textures. About the sound, I had sound problems in direct3d, but none under glide. But try WDMsounds, it solved sound problems I had in some old dos games.
I have the latest version of the Glide wrapper (downloaded from the site) so i haven't seen any newer than my current version i have. And about Sound, i don't think this would help for carma2 installing vdmsound... btw i'll try
