carma 1 videos saving

Hi Guys

Really like this forum, it's great!

Searched all the messages (took a while!)

but couldn't find anything about saving carmageddon 1 videos - is there a way to run video capturing software and record playing of videos? (in either Carma 95 or dos)

Fraps for C1, C2 and just about any game for that matter

yeah fraps is your best bet, unless you are running C2 using D3DWindower (like i am), in which case; fraps doesn't work.

I tried fraps earlier somedays on my pc with carma2, i seen it working fine but recording was a bit slow... Well it's still good software to buy (or other ways to get ) it...

try changing the settings, maybe try this setup:

Go to the 'Movies' tab

Check the radio-button that says 'Half-Size'

Check the radio-button that says '60 fps'

Uncheck the 'No cursor' checkbox

Uncheck the 'No sync' checkbox

I don't know if you want to record sound or not, it will be faster if you don't.

If you don't then uncheck the 'Record Sound' checkbox

Hi all

Many thanks indeed - downloaded fraps and tried out - really cool! can only do for 30 secs though, i also got VirtualDub and got file sizes down (they were 300+mb down to 60mb or therabouts)

does anyone know if splat pack will run in 95 mode (i have carma in 95 mode)

i love playing carma 1 - played it about 15 times over the last 3 months (!) i think carma 2 and 3 are not as good - look good but playability lost - also can trash your own car - what is the use of that?

I've just realised fraps doesnt work at all anymore with C2 (on my system), it works fine with other games like Q2 and Q3, oh well, printscreen will have to suffice.
