working out quirks :C2 for xp

I finally have it working for xp, but i have a question with how its supposed to be played.

Since it hates my logitech steering wheel, i'm using a PS1 style logitech controller. Now, when I'm playing, the car seems to move like its a tank, it takes forever for it to turn, the braking is horrible, and it takes absolutely forever for it to move when it is in the air.

Can someone record what the gameplay is supposed to be like so I can have something to compare to? I used to be a huge fan of carmageddon, but this is ridiculous if it is really as slow as I'm playing.

It shouldn't be slow and tank-like.

Go to youtube and type in carmageddon, you'll find tons of gameplay footage

wow... i guess it is supposed to be incredibly slow and tank like...

definitely not worth my time

Maybe you need some upgrades to engine power?? Starting out a completely new game does intend to be slow
