Any clue on making TWT cars?
Any clue on making TWT cars?
Can anyone please tell me how to create a car thats a TWT file?
Re: Any clue on making TWT cars?
Use TWT Suite to pack and unpack TWT files.
Re: Any clue on making TWT cars?
I tryed it, but when I save it, it saves as just a file. Not TWT.
Re: Any clue on making TWT cars?
Well that surely destroys my hopes.
Re: Any clue on making TWT cars?
Why do you want to TWT the files up anyways? It's not necessary. You'd be better off spending your energies on improving your models, learning about grooves and useful things like that.
Re: Any clue on making TWT cars?
Oh, well that is the file the creators of Carmageddon 2 used. So I thought that It would make the cars run faster because of decrement of file size.

Re: Any clue on making TWT cars?
It makes things a bit more tidy, yeah I guess. But, it makes no difference whatsoever to the game itself as far as I know. At least nothing that I've ever noticed...even back when I had a shit computer. :B
That said, If you wanna do it, first you have to convert the car's pix files (after the game makes them from the tiffrgb) to pixies files. This can be done with Cesm's Pixies packer.
(linken!)
Once that generates the Pixies.P16 and/or Pixies.P08 files, you pack those into the twt with the act, dat, mat, txt and wam files instead of a tiffrgb or pix folder.
That's about it, really.

Re: Any clue on making TWT cars?
Personally I don't like archived content. The user would have to uncompress everything to edit the files and recompile to play. It's just a pain if someone wants to customize the car. Just leave everything open.

Re: Any clue on making TWT cars?
Indeed, that's why I personally only used it on a few cars...and offered it as optional. It's good if you want to KEEP people from editing the stuff though I guess. heh.
I only use it for menu images now really. As no one bothers editing those anyway.

Re: Any clue on making TWT cars?
This did help me figure out the stuff I need to make the car work with fully functional stuff without files I don't need. I figured out how to get TWT Suite to create TWT files, all I did is name the file OzzyBuggy-V2.TWT instead of OzzyBuggy-V2. Can't belive I solved that problem! So here is a picture of the car while its TWTed
Just like the normal version of OzzyBuggy2.

Re: Any clue on making TWT cars?
Here is the download! Make sure you downloaded the normal version of OzzyBuggy V.2. Download the file into data\CARS\ Then delete the normal OzzyBuggy-V2 folder for it to work. (At leased I think you have to)
