Network Games Will Not Work

I have two computers on a Network and was planning to play a Carma 2 LAN game with a friend of mine. Unfortunately Carma doesn't seem to recognize any games hosted, no matter which computer they are hosted on. The "Join A Game" section is always empty; during the "loading status" screen, during a game; nothing.

Both computers are on the same workgroup and are mutually listed on both system32 hosts files.

Does anyone know how to make it work?

IPX protocol installed

Connected Via a Two-Wire Router
