Making tracks for C2

Post by Mirage »

I have two questions about making tracks and locations for Carmageddon 2.

1) I read that I need Sketchup 5. Is Sketchup 6 okay?

2) Where can I get all the programs I need for making locations(except Sketchup and Plaything 2)?

SKetchup 6 should be fine, but you need a version that will "export 3D model" to get a .3ds file.

- PhotoShop or Paint Shop Pro

Google for links

- 3D Max 'free' version will be hard to find. You can send .3ds to me and I will convert to .ASE

- Cesm's ASE2ASC tool

Razor posted my tutorial in your other thread. Try that first.

I like to help, but usually with people that are making an honest effort at doing it themselves.

I'm not on 24 hour call for everyone that has a map they want ingame.

Your Brampton map was a once-in-lifetime event at CWA, never seen it happen before - probably won't see it again.
