Add-on cars

Post by Dave »

Hello

Can anyone help me?

I've tried to add some cars into the game.

I've downloaded the carstockalypse and some add-on cars.

I put the carstockalypse into the carma II directory.

Than I unzipped the car but I couldn't put it into the carstockalypse.

The program is hold out now:

c:/program files/carmageddon 2 carpockalypse now/cstock/*

Than I clicked the carstockalypse exe but figured a message:data/opponent.txt

After that I clicked the ok field and the carstockalypse figuered.

But I can't to send there any cars.

How can I put an add-on car into the carstockalypse?

Thanks the help

Does your Carmageddon 2 directory looks like this?

where it says "C:\Arquivos de programas\Carmageddon II Carpocalypse Now"

for you'd be "C:/program files/carmageddon 2 carpockalypse now"

at this directory all the unzipped cars and carstokalypse must be

My directory looks like:

c:\Program Files\Carmageddon II Carpocalypse Now\cstock\*

It's in the Total Commander.

It looks like somehow in the carma II directory:

{cstock} <DIR>

{data} <DIR>

.....

......

carma2 exe

...

carma2_hw exe

carma2_sw exe

Than I clicked the cstock and it looks:

ReadMe txt

Carstockalypse exe

Than I clicked the carstockalypse and a message figured: data\opponent.txt unvalid route

but I clicked the OK field and the carstockalypse figured.

I tried to send there a car but it looks:

ReadMe txt

Carstockalypse exe

78Sunbird c2c

What should I do?

carstocalypse.exe belongs in the ..\Carmageddon II Carpocalypse Now folder. Cars must be unzipped/extracted/placed into the data folder.

..\Carmageddon II Carpocalypse Now\data\cars <--- Where you place the folder named after the car.

..\Carmageddon II Carpocalypse Now\data\INTRFACE\carimage <--- Where you place the folder named after the car (but has "ci" at the end of the name like "eagle3ci")

..\Carmageddon II Carpocalypse Now <--- Where you put the c2c file, which allows carstocalypse to install the car

I hope this helps some, as it seems you didn't read my pm

Help!

Some of the basic cars are missing.

Two hours ago I want to play but the buzzmobile, razorback, bugga, ladybug, hawk, mach, piranha, street machine, lamb o'genie, hick pickup, the supastuka, semi mk,abba cab are missing.

Where is the problem? In the carstockalypse? Perhaps I tried to add new cars but it was failed.

I run the carstockalypse but they're figured in the available and in the installed fields too.

What a pother..

In the 10th level in the bruise brothers field not cops (normally) , instead of bimmers cars are there.

Help someone

The main problem is in the carstockalypse because the original cars are mixed.

If I delete the carstockalypse is this problem will solved?

I got from one of my friend.

But the carstockalypse striked because when I used it ,it's mixed the files (available and installed cars).

In the installed cars field there are the normal original cars.

I used the < and > arrows and I put these cars into the available cars list.

Than the game broked down. When I want to play many cars missed.

Than I checked the carstockalypse and in the installed field there are more same cars.

Eg. Available cars

Eagle3

Abba Cab

Razorback

Hawk3

Hick Pickup

Digga ........

Installed cars

Digga

Digga

Digga it's 3x

Eagle3

Abba Cab

Razorback

Hawk3

Eagle (Black)

Eagle (Black) it's 2x

....

So that's the problem but I can't delete them

Thanks dude

The carstockalypse and my crap done this..

Because I want to run an add car with it and that was my first carstockalypse using.

When I looked the installed car field(where were the original carma 2 cars) used the > arrow and put them into the available car list. Than I looked if in the installed list figured 3 digga cars and the two fields mixed.

When I start to played the game some cars are simply missed and figured strange things. Eg.:in the 10th level (bruise brothers) normally my opponents are cops(12) but in the game my opponents were bimmers(driver:kurt blasthoff) that's strange..

So the main problem is in the carstock. I don't know if I delete it these things will solved.

But don't know where's the carstock. routed itself.

Ok, I took a picture of mine carstok

i did a red sign on it, make sure your carstok

looks like mine, when you mess up with that order, the game will get "lost" and you'll find some strange things, it happened to me before

If it doesn't help, I think you would probably have to uninstall it all and try again.

all the unzipping thing again.

I hope i could help,

Wouldn't it be easier to give him a copy of opponents.txt so he can try again macacom? That way he can make a copy of it and if it happens again he can just replace the messed up copy

OK cool. I keep my "sets" of cars sorted like that so I don't have to remove some and add others when I want nothing but, let's say, all Mad Max style cars or if I wanted nothing but real street cars or even the stock list. I just rename the txt files

Hello everybody

I clicked the carma2_hw in the main directory than figured a message: carmageddon fatal error failure:could not reference image glide 2x

So in the carstockalypse the cars are changed and some of them missing..

In the game the program could not refers the cars and below of the screen -you know where we see our nearest opponent location-, the program determines wrong and figured another car's image instead of the car which really there.

I'll put my carstockalypse picture soon if you see what's the problem with it.

You do not need to post multiple times, you can edit your message.

I don't use Carstockalypse, I edit my opponent txt manually. If you're having

such a tough time using Carstockalypse, you might want to do the same..

starting with an unedited original opponent.txt.

So if anybody see my carstock. picture see the installed cars and available cars field.

Normally in the available side there's your original cars and in the other side you see your downloaded cars. In my program these are same and the game-thanks to this-so wrong because the cars are mixed and missed in the game. Few weeks ago before I tried to download new cars and add into the game, all of this worked well.

So if anybody had the same problems or can help and solve this problem please write.

Thanks

I'd start over with a complete reinstall if I were you... It sounds as if, somewhere along the line, you've messed something up. So it'll be easier to start again

Attached is a unedited OPPONENT.TXT with just the original cars.

Put this in your DATA folder and try adding your downloaded cars again.

Or do as Random Monkey says and reinstall a fresh version of the game.

Make sure you have unzipped files into their correct place.

.C2C files and Carstockalypse.exe go in ---> Interplay\Carmageddon 2 Carpocalypse Now

This is all we can tell you. This isn't tech support for SCI.

You need to extract that into your main C2 directory.

Everything should end up in its right place... (See the 'Path' on the right hand side of the zip, where some things say /data/devon, etc - that is where THOSE files should go... the c2c file at the top of that zip has no path, which means that should go in the main c2 directory)

The c2c file is what carstockalypse recognises. If they're both not in the c2 directory, it won't work.

Once you've unzipped it, open up carstockalypse and find the Devon car in the left pane. (If it's not there, something's gone wrong)

If it is, click on it, then click the > arrow

That should be it, installed and playable

Other things to note:

You only need to click the < arrow when you want to uninstall a car

If you click the < arrow for one of the original cars, it will make a c2c file for it

(That's probably why you have a load of the original cars in the left pane)

You might want to delete all the c2c files you're not using to clear things up a bit in that pane

Why are you making this so complicated? You do not need to open the .C2C file

Just unzip the devon.zip file into your -->Interplay\Carmageddon 2 Carpocalypse Now folder

and start Carstockalypse. That's all you need to do.

There isn't an opponents folder. I don't know what you're talking about.

You shouldn't have to place files manually.

When you extract the zip, make sure that "Use Folder Names" is checked so that everything get put in the proper place.

This is my last post on this, I can't help anymore than what I have told you.

OK. Start with a clean re-install of your game.

Then put the "Carstockalypse.exe" file in the main C2 directory. (C:\Program Files\Interplay\Carmageddon 2 Carpocalypse Now. *Note-No "cstock" folder as you had-ya don't need it and the carstock file won't work anywhere but in the main C2 directory.)

When you unzip an add on car-WinZip or whatever will probably want to put the files in it's own folder-change this destination folder to C:\Program Files\Interplay\Carmageddon 2 Carpocalypse Now and then unzip the add on car. Most of the cars are packed so they'll unzip to the right places as long as you unzip the file to the MAIN C2 folder.

By now you should have created a shortcut to the carstock file in the main C2 folder on your desktop or wherever you can reach it quickly and easily. Fire up Carstock and look for your new car. It should be there on the left list. Add it and hit "OK." All should be well.

OK

I put the carstockalypse into the carma II folder.

But I could not find that Interplay field anywhere.

The carstock. in this folder: C:\Program Files\Carmageddon II Carpockalypse Now

I've downloaded an add-on car eg. 78sunbird and now it's in the main carma 2 folder.

I unzipped it: main 78sunbird folder clicked-->data clicked-->cars clicked-->78sunbird clicked than I run the carstockalypse but in the left side didn't figure the car so I could not install it.

Or should I use WinZip?

Oh, forget about Carstockalypse. Just add them manually. See this thread on how to do it.

To be honest, the few times I tried using Carstockalypse it just f-ed up my opponent.txt.

Adding the cars manually is a simple copy and paste.

I put the cars into the Carmageddon II Carpockalypse Now folder where I unzipped them than I run the Carstockalypse.- I haled manually the C2C files into the folder.- In the left side figured all of the add-on cars name eg. 76Chevy,78Pontiac...

Than I launched the game but I could not find anywhere the new cars neither in the opponents.txt field.

I could not installed them. How can I install them?
