Wrong forum. Should go in the technical assistance forum.
Moved.
And to help you out - a standard PC to PC lan connection would work. All you need are two lan cards and a crossover lan cable.

Re: linking computers
you can do it with a serial lead also, if you have got LAN cards, aww I remember those days playing Alien vs Predator in my bedroom with the lights off against my brother downstairs! O and Carma of course!
Re: linking computers
Its very simple. find the IP address of the other guy, and make sure he knows yours just in case. now, you can choose to host the game, or to join his game and let him host, to join his you must join his IP essentially, and thats what you type in, and normally it will join you, and vice versa. TCP/IP are probly the best and easiest connections, but that is dependant on if you actaully have internet
best of luck!

Re: linking computers
Hello there ,
I'm trying to get the game(C2) to play in "Network Game" in my network , However , The computers can't find themself(can't find Host).
Both systems run on windows xp pro , with 2wire router(built in firewall) , Zone alarm firewall , The game has access on the zonealarm firewall in both comps , both comps run in ip range of 172.68.0.x , I can play other games in the LAN , i can share intenret and files etc.. , It's just that game that don't work..
What can u suggest , Plx we realy want to kick each other's a$$es ASAP!
:P

Re: linking computers
Network connection via IPX works.
Re: linking computers
well, if you cant host it let your friend host it, normally one of your IPs should work, if you are going for TCP/IP, its probably the most common and easiest.

Re: linking computers
How do u chose between TCP/IP connection or IPX connection in game?
I have all the connections and protocols enabled in my "Local Area Connection" in both comps , NWlink IPX/SPX/Netbios~ , Internet Protocol[TCP/IP] , NWlink netBIOS.
I've tried to host the game on the other comp.. , How do i host in on IPX/SPX?
Do i need to cancel any protocols or do somth particular?
Many thanks ahead/

Re: linking computers
tdr gives ya a few network options, if all u see is tcp/ip then your screwed, if u see others, maybe IPX or Serial, you should loook into that

Re: linking computers
he was talking about C2, not tdr.
I have the same problem, posted here and still no clear answers. Figured out that C2 network its only for a few lucky ones
