Yeah, so I want to play C2 with the glide wrapper. That's fine, I can deal with the UNAVOIDABLE crash it ALWAYS gives me upon finishing a race. What I really can't stand is when quicktime records a second long pink screen, about 32kb in size. It's getting annoying now. I have to run D3D to record a movie? That's total and utter crap... and don't mention FRAPS to me or I may cry. It records stuff in slow motion, never the right speed.
Please help, if you know of anyway to get quicktime to comply with glide. Surely it worked on glide cards when C2 came out? It's probably just some text editing, but when I tried I couldn't even get it to accept the HIGH quality setting in D3D mode.
I have quicktime 6, and I'm not looking to update it as it works and is... well, h4x0r3d. hehe...
Anyone know of a fix?

I'm not sure if that's possible... the last time I heard about Glide was for the original Unreal, which was a hell of a long time ago. Glide is pretty much an abandoned codec as far as Apple is concerned now, so you might not be able to get QT and Glide to cooperate without uninstalling something. Just speculation, wtf do I know...

Obviously more than I do! Hey, I guess I'll just have to settle for C(F)raps then... It records everything in slow motion though, even on my power whore of a system...

Re: Quicktime & The Glide Wrapper = BAD!
The quicktime implementation that C2 uses is pretty old. It has nothing to do w/ the fact that Glide is used or not, but rather that the wrapper must be doing sth that confuses the hell out of it. Since I didn't write the damn thing, I have no clue what it is, but I'd surmise the interpolation and the way DDraw/DirectX calls are handled have sth to do w/ it. Btw, my version of Fraps does record at normal speed on my P2 450....as long as the game doesn't slow down during replay, all is well! You may have some other problem that causes the slowdown.
