Here's a car installation guide. I think I got it from crashocalypse, but I'm not sure.

Car installation guide for Carmageddon 2

This guide is for all of you guys out there who downloaded a bunch

of nice cars from CC or other carma fan sites, and now sit there

with the .zip file and no clue what to do with it. This guide will work

on all cars downloaded from this site, and probably on most cars

downloaded from other sites, unless the car maker screwed up

when building the zip file, and the webmaster didn't bother

cleaning up after him.

If you got in here just for the heck of it, I suggest you go to our

Cars section and grab some slick cars that suit your liking.

Now that we're all set...

Phase one: Extracting

You should now have a nice .zip file infront of you. It's hard for me

to believe that anyone who's readin this haven't got himself an

unzipping software, but if that's your case, then hop on to Tucows

(fast) or winzip.com (slow) and grab Winzip's latest version. After

the download is done simply install as you would any other

software.

Double click the .zip file you downloaded not so long ago, and it

winzip should open it, or any other unzipping software you might

have. Press 'extract', and if you're using winzip, this will appear on

your screen:

Fill in the correct path to your C2 folder, in my case the path is

'd:\games\carma2'. Also make sure that both 'All files' and 'Use

folder names' are checked as seen in the picture. Now click on

'extract', and we're ready for Phase two...

Phase two: Stocking

Now you have the car data in your C2, but C2 doesn't know it's

there. To add the new car to the 'database' you need a program by

Ben Beard called 'carstockalypse'. This nifty little proggy does all

the dirty work, so you don't need to edit anything manually. Open

the zip file called cstock10.zip, and extract carstockalypse.exe to

your C2 folder. Double click the file and wait a few seconds... you

should see two car lists infront of you. The list on the left contains

all the cars you downloaded and extracted to the C2 folder. The

one on the right contains the cars that are actually available in

game. To add a car simply choose it from the list on the left side,

and press the ">" button as seen on picture below. Once you're

done adding the cars press 'OK'. That's it.

It should now be avaiable in game, and will act just like any other

of the opponents, meaning you can play it, you can play against it,

and you can also buy it as you would any of the other cars.

If you're still having problems, take the time and read the readme

that comes with carstockalypse. And if that's no help, feel free to

email any of CC webmasters with your problem.
