New here, found the site by accident while trying to find a way to play my old copy of Carmageddon 2 on my MacBook...

So I thought I'd post a pic of my car

And yes it is a real!

(tho the background has been touched up a bit)

Damn... nice...

I envy you. That is all.

And about C2 on mac, either you find a ciderized version (on MSJ or something).

Or you try to run it with Sheepshaver and OS9.1, never tried that myself.

I've been looking for the ciderized version... but obviously not hard enough!

When I could actually play Carma 2 (on my old Mac) I 'adapted' an add-on car to look like mine...

I just had to remember when I was driving the real one that pedestrian damage to the bodywork takes a bit more repairing than just pressing a button ;-)

Are there any more Beetle Bastards lurking around here? Always good to see fellow enthusiasts...

I hope you're not referring to the 'shiny orange' pics and have been to the start of this thread ;)

Do you have a bug then?

Yeah, I meant your mods. I like the classic look too, but I can see that anywhere.

I come from a beetly sort of family. There've always been a few around. My own:

Still in (now pleasantly ratty) factory paint, except for the mouth which needed to be replaced after my Da borrowed it and tried to waste some fool ;)

Strangely there's never been any Beetles in my family (that I know of), apart from mine of course.

I've had 3 and this one's my second :P

I'm trying to persuade them to include her in the game (somebody start a petition!), so maybe you'll get a chance to drive her ;)

I would sign, but the rules say "no petitions".

You've got the car and the mask, now all you need is a wrought-iron fence post to poke through the top of the right front fender into the wheel, ala Friday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives. :D

My favourite of the series!

And the first appearance of 'Zombie Jason' :D

(Btw, that bug was white :P)

I did try and put a wall through the front of the car earlier this year if that counts ;)

There's a red convertible in Part II...

Econobrick wrote:A wall, you say? This is acceptable!
The wall was totalled but the car's back to 'normal', though I had to do a bit more work than just press a key ;)

Yes..! But the one in Part VI is also a convertible! and a '68-70 at that?! The one in Part II is a 1302/Super Beetle if memory serves!

Honorable mention to the early '60s non-ragtop one in Part III?!! This is all very important?!

Of course it is! :P

The one in Part III commits vehicular damage outside the local store, so there you have a (tenuous) link to Carmageddon! :D
