Re: I DONT MEAN TO BE A SPAMER I WILL QUIT THIS FORM WHEN
Did you start a new game after you installed the car? It usually helps if something else wont work, but It's not a must.
I checked the install-a-car-guide, and if we take this as an example:
NAME "Bigfoot"
DESCRIPTION "Top Speed: 250mph
Kerb weight: 4.0 tons
0-60mph: 6.2 seconds
Hisssss"
DESCRIPTOR "Bigfootdescriptor.txt"
DRIVER_NAME "Bi G. Foot"
DRIVER_SHORT_NAME "BigFoot"
STRENGTH 150
COST 1 // in thousands!
TYPE 1 // 0 = eagle, 1 = normal, 2 = novelty
DISPLAY_NAME "Bigfoot"
DRIVER_TYPE 0
ARMOUR 25
POWER 25
OFFENSIVE 25
With this info in your <carname>.txt file that could be inside your <carname> folder, you actually don't need to add any info at all anywhere. The only thing you have to do is to unzip it to where it should be. After you upgraded the game with the "tdrupgradepatch" (or whatever name the patch file now has)
It wont hurt to install it. As several new nice things will come within the patch.
Also worth mentioning is that with this kind of information in the <carname>.txt, it will show up in the Garage already from the start, which is quite nice. Though something I've seen is that some cars will disappear in the Garage, or never be seen at all. I still wonder why for example "Wraith", "McKilem" keep disappearing, and "MineTruck" never be seen at all.
If you don't have a <Carname.txt> - Make one! Copy the "Bigfoot"-info and change the values that need to be changed for the specific car. You can find the related info for that specified car within "..Assets\cars\Car_Descriptor.txt" and of course "..assets\strings\Uk\Car_Strings_UK", or that Zombie, if you got that game version.
If you still got problems. Tell us what car and from where you downloaded it, and we'll check it.
