Addon tracks

Post by RideTheCrash »

Okay I have Superspeed Way working fine. I found Footy, but it's just one folder instead of two, like Superspeed Way. I can access it through the "setlevel" cheat, but it's just me and no other cars. Is there a way to get it on the menu so I can play with other cars? Also...where can I find the 1920's level and Hell?

Freerace doesn't work. I can't select it from the menu, so if I do 'setlevel Footy' I still come up by myself. And if I do "make ai ___" it crashes. The difference with Superspeed Way is that it includes Superspeed Way_Race1 or whatever, whereas Footy doesn't have a Footy_Race1 or anything.

I thought Footy was more of a network level and not a singleplayer one.

It's been a long time since i played, but I do remember having the 1920s and Hell maps show up at the end of the list. You need to either start a race in singleplayer and use the unlock all maps cheat, or beat the game.

Well I'd have to find the 1920s level and Hell before I can worry about that, but thanks for the heads up. I guess maybe Footy is just a multiplayer level then?

Heh, trust me, I'm trying. I've spent the last few days installing loads and loads of addon cars. DTD doesn't work half the time though...Wasted doesn't have much up...I've gotten most of what's been saved from CarmaDump, etc.

But now I need those two levels.

Ah, crappy. So how are they? Are they big levels, or kind of small like the Speedway?

I guess I could send them in one way or another later on when I get home. Earliest next week. The question is How. I thought of making a Torrent, if that would be an idea. Would it?

Or a more short solution would be to check me out at a DC hub (Direct Connect, DC++, whatever that you use/know about), then you could download it from me. (PM me and I'll hock you up with some more info)

I guess I could split them to several pieces also, for easier download. If you're connection is limited to something on the slower side.

Can't think of any other way at the moment that works for me. Any ideas are welcome.

I guess a torrent could work. That being said...does anyone know where I can find the BigHorn truck and the Tow Truck? I see both on CarmaDump, but they aren't linked.

Both maps (1920s and Hell) are pretty big. 1920's is the biggest map in the whole game. Not only for how much land it covers and places to go, but it has by far the highest pedestrian count. It was one of my favorites.

I wish I could help out, but I no longer have TDR or any Carmageddon game installed. There's several CDRW's sitting on my shelf containing hundreds of custom cars and the maps in question, but I can't be bothered to go digging through them all.

Someone can *maybe* break the maps into several files and upload them to a free putfile account.

I can do it however anyone want it, basically. Pretty much something like that anyway. I got the tracks and for the poor fellows that couldn't get the Nosebleed CD (including myself), I'll share the tracks to.

1920 IS a nice track! Hell is not a favorite of mine, but it works anyway. Of course everyone need to try them at least.

The best idea I actually got now is to make the levels float around as torrents. That way we all in this community could contribute as much as we can. Even someone with a 56k modem can spare at least 1-2kb/sec.

So, as I said.. Friday! I'll seed it like there's no tomorrow!
