Chevy S10 next..

Post by autopilot »

Decided to have a go and make a new automobile.. started this thing yesterday and its just about done.. needs mostly interior work, the hood and the driver and minor bits.

Rather than make the stock truck bed I decided to make a little custom wooden rack back there, as that looks a lot neater.. stuff thats textured is just there for "testing purposes" to make sure everythings aligned.. it will be all retextured for TDR when its done.

Very nice! Another car I look forward to smashing in TDR. I sure wish I had the dedication to model as fast as you Auto. Id love to model more but I am in one of those emotional stages (please tell me it will end soon) that leaves me with no will what so ever. Again, nice car, I love pickup trucks.

Very nice! But I don't really like the rack in place of a bed. But whatever. I like your choice of wheels though. You sure are fast. I started my own project the other day for C2, but all I ended up with was a fender. But then again, that was only an hour and a half of work. How about putting some radioactive barrals in the back? Are you making this beast in CarEd?

Damn nice! I see that as an old farm truck, how about a couple of hay bales in the back? It may actually be worth blowing the dust off the old TDR cd in the rack and installing it for these quality vehicles..

I do must say, it is very nice. Even I am amazaed over how quick stuff is made. Much time spent, or time spent effectivly. Combined and A lot can be done! I'm rarely that focused, which could be the problem  Usually takes me a week from start to finished model, not few days.

I hope things go smooth with it. Gonna try the setup once more?

I never took a rear photo of this truck (I did plan to do a rack body in the first place) but that killed any chance of making it all bone stock. I dont think I'll put anything in the back, cause if it detaches it will just fall through everything which doesnt look all that great, and if it was non-detachable it would also look silly when the vehicle rolls over and it doesnt do anything, so it seems like a waste of polygons and texture space no matter how you look at it.

I dont feel this has been going really fast as far as modelling goes, I know I used to be able to go a lot faster, but this is kinda an easy make, and I also recycled the rack from my ford F100 c2 car, just changed it up a bit.

It looks brilliant auto. Still dont understand how you could consider this a slow build though

I noticed you have used images for the texturing (if you havent then, WOW) and was wondering how hard you found it? Any chance we could the main texture map for this thing.

Bloody good job there auto.

The front end looks properly radical!

I've always loved simply designed American vehicles.

Can't wait for releaseness.
