Carmadump not working ???

Post by cyberwolf »

Hy.

I'm new on this forum, but i've seen a lot of links to CarmaDump . My problem is that it doesn't matter what browser i use, i can't get a list of files to download. I've tried Opera8, IE6 and even FireFox 1, but whenever i click any of the links (Files -> By Game/ By Creator/ ...) i just end up back to the index page :help:.

Does anybody know if this site is still working, and also where else could I download addon cars for TDR ? (i should mention i've installed the Nosebleed patch, but don't have the Nosebleed Pack).

Thanx in advance for any help.

Hy,

Thanx for the link, but just one question, are all of these for TDR 2000, or some are for other versions of Carmageddon ? (like Carma1 and Carma2)

I'm asking cause i'm only looking for TDR 2000 cars, as i don't have anymore the Carma2 (i've wasted the CD  )

It would be nice if it were organized by game...

I've started downloding all the files, and it seems most of them are for TDR2000.

But, a lot of them can't be downloaded .

From "sparrow_redfyre.zip" on, i can't download any of the files, i always get the error "The requested URL /carmadump/sparrow_redfyre.zip was not found on this server."..

Anyways, i've managed to download about 70-75 cars that are for TDR, so it should be sufficient for a while

P.S. :

from what i've downloaded, here's what is for Carma 2 :[font color="red">

53decals.zip

53ford.zip

53linesedition.zip

53rust.zip

58impala.zip

58impalachp.zip

batas.zip

bitchin34 ford coupe.zip

dragula.zip

gashog.zip

hobo1corolla.zip

horizon.zip</font color>

plus (things that are not cars) :

savegames.zip

plaything2.zip

ravage_fx_patch.zip

The rest seam to be for TDR 2000 (at least the ones i've managed to download).

Note :[font color="red">

dutch.zip

max.zip

slk230.zip

snake_tdr.zip

soopra.zip </font color>

seem to be corrupted

Sorry for the long post, but i tought people would like to know which files are "good" and for which game.

Just fixin my lame screwup from about a year or so ago....

Carmadump on LOD----Not

The zip file on this site contains replacement files for your image and banner. It also has a zip.gif image with it for the zip files.

Decompress it, and edit the index.php file, the first two lines will have some code...

<pre><hr>$FilesToOmit=array(".","..","index.php","zip.gif", "banner.gif");

$dir = "../carmadump/";</pre><hr>

These two lines basically tell what not to display on the page, and where it is located. If your folder is named carmadump, which it should be, then the second should not change. If it is a basic file structure that needs and index.something, then the FilesToOmit line should be unchanged. The rest is assumed to be a zip file, and is givin the zip icon.

It is a start, if you need more don't hesitate to email me at

hand coding huh .. I used to do that, still do, but I need Cold Fusion elements for some of the more advance scripting, spending hours proofing a huge page of script is reeeally a pain in the ass.

I hand code everything, though I use dreamweaver to do much of the proofing, and I test.... alot. I generally develop subsidiary functions which can be used throught multiple applications. That makes getting some direct work done very easy.

I have programmed since about 1980, so the languages have changed some, but the theory behind what happens hasn't

woah man, I wasn't even alive back then. But, I have many 80's machines in my basement .. collecting dust .. they are good to practice BASIC and other older languages on .. I try and code most of my games hand coded .. it's difficult and I rarely complete them in good time, but, it's a good thing to do when your somewhat bored .. I think for images, I have discovered, that fireworks is really the top of the morning .. I tried adobe, lots of editing features, but it just can't beat fireworks. I've been using macromedia products for quite a while now, the flash was rather an evolution in the web design industry. aanyway, with the coding.
