help installing Tdr

hi ive just bought this game off ebay and the guy ensured me that it works on xp, so the gullable guy that i am i went ahead and bought it, and i came through the post yesterday so i turned my pc on and stuck the cd on and i got and error messege (sommin to do with "divide by 0") neho i i tried to find a find a solution but i don't understand a word that they r say u see i am a complete technophope when i coms to how computer work, so could somebody guide me through in lanuage i can understand

ive tried the compatability and i get a different error "carmageddontdr.icd has encountered a problem and must shut down

and im not fully sure of which patchs to download and where to download them

There are two, the uk/euro version and the us mini patch:

Uk/EU Nosebleed Patch

US Mini Patch

right i just downloaded the UK/EU patch but it still comes up with the same error "TDR2000.icd has encountered a problem and needs to close"

is there neway that i could have a US version. Is there ne way of finding out which version i got

no idea, once the game is installed you only need a simple edit of code to change what version you have, but before it is installed, I really dont know.

right i have found out what version i have got (english zombie version) so i installed a fresh copy of TDR then installed the nosebleed upgrade but i still get that same dam error

sorry i dont have time to read this whole post right now, but you said you did the nosebleed patch do you mean the actual cd or the download for online gaming and all that crap? cause if you have the us you have to use the us mini-patch.

i am now seriously thinking about just leaving this game and finding another maybe carma 2, how easy it that to onto a XP system

im guessing it depends, i have XP Pro, and every damn game i have ever installed has worked

with NO problems, and then some people complain about C2 not working C1 and some other games

what version do you have?

But really, thats offtopic, the main problem if you are running C1 and C2 might be a DOS issue, at least for me it was, so you would have to get DOSbox.
