Re: Help with TDR 2000
Well I got my new version yesterday from the "sold out" label and still getting this blasted error, I`ve emailed the Techsupport at SCI and so far they`ve replyed with stuff I`ve already did like check DirectX ,update drivers and now expecting them to try and tell me to re-install the game (Like I`ve already did about 15 times now). The only difference between both copies is that ones got zombies while the other has normal peds on the street , Hell i thought I might get the addon pack with it seeing that its been out for so long
Anyone who might be able to help you can PM me if its not allowed here, I`m be damend if it dosent bloody work now

Re: Help with TDR 2000
Errr...i always thought installing a higher directx version and then rewind it couldnt be done? besides, isnt it so that direct x 9 gots everything from all the previous ones? it makes me think...
Re: Help with TDR 2000
I included the DXDAIG file and that has everything inside my PC and they havent said it was because of the AMD chip, still haven`t heard from them ithere , so U fired another email at them today .Why is it with techsupport that they always think your confused (inept) in how it works? w

Re: Help with TDR 2000
i cant remember the address, but there is a site with an uninstaller for all versions of directx, to completely remove it from your computer, as if you'd want to. but if suppose if you had dx problems then completely uninstalling and reinstalling dx would be a good thing...
Re: Help with TDR 2000
I`ll give that a try cheers
Re: Help with TDR 2000
Well it looks like I`m stuck the game does not like the new graphics cards of today heres what I got from the techsupport
"Ah, OK, well that link I sent you should enable Carmageddon 2 to play
with your joystick plugged in.
As for Carmageddon TDR 2000, well...
I'm going to have to say that it's more than likely that your GFX card
is too good and too new. Even though TDR is the most recent in the
series, it is still quite an old game now (the recommended
specifications prove this if nothing else). The game works, it just
doesn't work in 3D mode (I doubt this will provide you with any
comfort).
There is one last thing to try, but I severely doubt it will work.
Go in to your DXDIAG report and turn off the hardware acceleration for
the GFX card.
Then, if you have a good understanding of your GFX card, you could try
going in to the advanced settings and lowering or turning off some of
the settings.
Sincere apologies, but other than that there is little we can do to
help.
Sincerely,
Matt Ibbs

I`ll just have to play the missions in software mode from now on
