I have mentioned them in my previous topic of my Truck WIP for C2 and Maxine was quite interested, so here they are!

sadly, no original texures :( This is as far i was able to rescue from that HDD..
UVs should be there though, so with some patience and trial & error importing textures ripped from CT3 (pc), their original appearance should be restored!
i'll do an attempt nex days.

Feel free to do whatever you want with these rips! Just give credit if you happen to relase stuff based on these :p

imo cabs may fit Carma1 nicely, they're less than 3.000 tris each, driver included! Due to their lack of detachables, innards, and poly distribution, may need quite a rework to fit carma2!

These are .OBJ files, could we use them in Cared ?
I tried to open'em in Cared and it didn't work ... I tried to import'em in an existing model and it didn't work too ...

my fault, i believed cared' .Obj import was standard but i've been told in IRC it doesn't!
Don't you have any other modeling tool that imports non-cared .Obj? Not sure how to workaround the issue for cared-users only. :crazy:
anyone has suggestions?

CarEd only takes CarEd OBJ files, it doesn't support the Wavefront OBJ format

Not sure, but you might be able to use 3DWin to convert OBJ to ASC and import that.

Or import the converted ASC into PT2, do a save and then import the created DAT into CarEd

Ok, so i told you i was going to get back all textures..

..instead, i'm doing something better, ripping everything back from scratch! :cool:
I've ripped all stock cars&drivers from CT2 so far (available at Small Apple map in CT3) they just need a little polish and will be uploaded (smoothing groups, doubled materials, groups names conflict).

Meanwhile i've uploaded Slash!

10min job. There'd be some points to optimize. Especially Slash's hair.

wow, that was fast! :supercrazy:

first pic, da fuc was dat. Did i screwed something exporting?

about hair, as you see both scalp and hairs shares the same texture, in the original game were full lit (so i did in my previous screenshot) and of course double-sided to look nice and seamless, you may want to double that texture, remove alpha and assign that to the scalp. Hopefully depth fight should be much less annoying this way :p
