Carma 2 problem. Please help.

Post by roadkill804 »

Hey people. When I watch those Carma 2 videos on YT with crashes, splats, etc, I always want to go and create one. Well, the problem is that I can't

When I go to the ingame replay mode and click to REC, it shows me an error. And when I turn Fraps on and try to capture the video, the game shuts down :supermad:

Can you guys help me ? I want to create a video so badly.

Thanks.

In order to use the ingame's recording, you need to have Quicktime installed, but then it's the question if it actually records and not just a pink visual throughout the whole video what was recorded.

The problem with Fraps seems odd (as i've never seen that happen), don't bind "begin recording" with alt-f4?

I already installed Quicktime but the error keeps appearing :/

And no, it's not Alt+F4, it's F9

do you have a glide wrapper installed? if no get one, if have, check its settings  This may be the hardware (graphics, etc.) problem. Be sure to install latest drivers and directx. What OS do you have..?

btw if problem persistens try to reinstall/clean install game and/or os than try again. BTW post the specs of hardware, it may help

Windows XP SP3. I dont use glidewrapper, but I also dont use it in my laptop. I have the latest drivers, directx, etc and reinstalling the game is useless.

And my specs... Well... Where can I see it ? :noob:

I didn't test fraps on XP SP3, though it may be conflicting hardware and/or os itself. I mean SP3 on some hardware may not function propertly and couse the errors. Check the system log for crashes (look at the Event Viewer in Administrative Tools section on control panel. switch to classic view first)

Coz it seemz you don't have Glide, it recommended to get a wrapper that works good enough on your system. I personally use Zeckensack's Glide Wrapper without huge problems and recording seems fine ... you may test with dgWoodoo and use it if the other don't work better...
