For PC? I'd recommend the Crysis games any day but you'd need a good setup to play Crysis.

For Consoles? Red Dead Redemption: GTAIV set in 1911, the game is filled to the brim with bugs but it's still a bloody great game.

STALKER: Shadow Of Chernobyl is another good game, but it's VERY buggy.

Fallout 3 is another good game.

I have found though in recent years alot of games are subsituting story and lenght with flashy graphics, which makes alot of modern games repeditive. It's one of the reasons why I rarely play games nowadays.

Hmm... Good games...

If you like tycoon type game, I recomand Evil Genius. While technically it isn't a tycoon game, it's close to it on some aspects. Though, if you get ur hands on the game, you have to go to Evilplanet.com to get all of the right patches and the special ed cd that repairs some of the things and also the fan patche (doesn't really have a name) that work out most of the bugs that the games even patched and with the special ED cd applied, still had and unlock things that were forgotten to be unlocked by the game's production team.

House of the Dead 3, which is a good zombie shooter, the only one that I know work on PC.

Nox, a game made in 2000, but still is a GREAT game, a little bit alike Diablo, but with some small puzzles in game and some humor in.

And of course, Carmageddon II. Old, yes, but still really nice and with, as you know, a LOT of addons. ^^

Going through the list of games I have

For PC.

Carmageddon 1,2 (I have three but I never play it)

Diablo 1,2 (waiting anxiously for 3 )

Duke Nukem

Quake 1,2,3

Sims 1,2

Rollar Coaster Gold Edition

Halo Combat Evolved

GTA 1,2, San Andreas and 4

Half-life 1

Indiana Jones and the Emperiors Tomb

Army Men 1,2

Need for Speed 1,2,3 and Undercover

Yeah I like those old dos games.

For PS2 and some ps1 games

Destruction Durby 1,2

Need for Speed Carbon and Most Wanted

Spinter Cell

Red Dead Revolver

Guitar Hero 2,3,5 and Metallica.

I've heard of house of dead 3 but I can't find it anywhere.

Fallout 3 does sound fun but is it short?

GTAIV is a great game but my sucky computer can't handle it.

I don't have a PS3 but I would love to play Red Dead Redemption

To play Half Life 2 campaign in GMod you need addons specially made to do that. I'm not really sure if any campaigns are playable now.

FO2 and FO:UC are awesome. Prefer FO2 because the soundtrack is better, and the amount of mods. Yugo demo derby ftw.

Oh, and no shitty ass GFWL.

The only thing that pisses me off with FO2 and FO:UC is how the difficulty level seems to go up the more you play more events.(not career mode, I mean single events).
