I think I just seen the damn thing just come down my street! Unfortunately, I wasn't outside at the time. I did run out to see if it really was Google's camera car, but it was going rather quickly!

Heh, yeah lol my street/whole neighbourhood is in Google Maps' it's street view thingy. Pretty awkward.

i thought google were told not to do that anymore because of people seeing the houses then robbing them (sorry if this doesnt make any sense its just im tired and really stressed)

Well, it's more like some countries allow it, while some don't. Sometimes, it's even a matter of territory, I mean, here in Canada, all of the others provinces were mapped in the previous years, except for us in Québec. But, last summer, the provincial gov. allowed them to do it. Guess that Google gave 'em something to think about (aka money).

That Google street car passed me a few weeks back here in Dublin. I'll have to wait until they put Dublin on the website too see if I'm in it!

The street car itself was a black Opel Astra with a 3 foot camera sticking out of the roof if it.

Think I saw one of those things here a few weeks back, I was waiting at an intersection and saw a car roll up with a giant camera affixed to the roof, I just thought it was some paranoid driver wanting proof the accident he will eventually be in wasnt his fault as I didnt see anything written on the car, but it did resemble this:

It'd be kinda fun, easy mod to make a camera and import on top of a sub compact. Don't think anyones done a Chevy Cobalt but any subcompact would do I think. Then you could chase the Google Camera car out of town yourself. Or drive the car into angry townsfolks as a pissed Google employee.

I saw one drive in my town like 2 weeks ago at like 6:40 when I left from home to school when I came back at around 19:00 it was 3 blocks futher -.-
