Someone HeLp me with this Obsession!

Post by deathmetal »

The idea hit me a few days ago,

and Ive been thinking about it since.....

There should be a game where you can play various vehicles from different movies. So far, there are some in Carma 2, and thats a start right ?!?

I have seen lots and lots of great talent out there, but before I bought the game, never really understood this add-on car concept, or make your own car thing where possible. That was just a foreign word to me. Hey..... Im still primitave in all these things!!

Anyways, there have been a couple of vehicles that Ive been thinking about, and someday will hopefully be made... but unfortunatly Im software illiterate and somewhat really computer retarded so I dont see these coming to daylight

1) Tank from "Indiana Jones and the last crusade", "The Beast"

(Its a modified MK VIII liberty tank)

2) The Giant Drilling Vehicle from "Total Recall"

I would love to see these vehicles cause (just a little) MASS DESTRUCTION in Carma 2!! These were the highlights of the movies when I was a kid. So when someone mentioned "Total recall" or "BTTF3", the image of the Drilling Machine or the Train would come to mind!

Anyways, other idea from the top of my head right now are;

- The Champion Crane from "Terminator 3"

- Millitary truck from Universal Soldier

- Christine

- cars from Highway men

- "RV from Hell" from Tango and Cash

- Scrapers from Tango and Cash

- Docs train from Back to the Future,

So far, these are what I can think of right now....because its real early in the morning right now.....and...NEeD..... SOme........ CoFfY!!!

"Christine" was done for c2 in 2001 :P

It could be better I guess, but let's just say the author may have plans to redo it.. but you didn't hear that from me / don't count on it?!

The moral of the "story": Look harder?! or something!

Requests are rarely realized here, but I also would like to see some of those vehicles, such as that Giant drilling machine(?) from "total recall"... Just how does that thing look like, 'cause I haven't heard about that film ? Sounds like fun

Ah, yeah. That tank scene in Indiana Jones was cool(I'm an Iniana Jones fan).

I believe there was a similarly(though not exact) styled tank made for TDR?!

I actually did the Mark IV tank used in Indiana Jones about 2 years ago. I will have to scrounge up some pictures for ya. You can convert it, and add some modifications, or just send me the turrent, and I could add it onto the tank as a detachable, then send it back as a 3ds ready for C2.

Ok, those 2 tanks make me want to go out and buy TDR - I've always loved those WW1 monstrosities

Excellent work on both the models and the skins

Nice! that Mark IV is good enough just the way it is! Im not sure if the mark IV will look right with a turrent, since its tall and slim. For "The Beast", the actual Mark VIII was modified wider to fit the turrent. So imagine a 33 ft long tank, 10ft+ high, and maybe 10ft wide without the side turrents....that's The Beast!

I will send you some more pix of the beast and top view turrent, in a few days from now, because Im out of state . But whether a turrent will fit in place or not for the mark IV, maybe give it a shot. I'm in for the Mark IV right now, but if the turrent looks good, then a modified mark IV also would be good too! Have them both!

I searched all over the internet, and found only 2 pix of that Drilling machine. So I actually bought the Special edition DVD ( I told you that I'm Obsessed) so I can find more pix in the photo/art gallery of the DVD. Unfortunately, there was NOTHING ... but its shown 4 times throughout the movie. So far, I can figure out about 85% of the Drilling machine.

I might try playing the DVD in the computer and find a way to save some pictures of it......

I'll send you my 2 pix of it, in a few days....out of state right now

PS: Total recall is Arnold Swartzenegger's(is that how you spell it?) big movie before doing Terminator 2. It came out 1990. That movie was known for its special effects, and of course...critics complaining of "Overly violent"(just like Carma) If you havent seen in, then definately worth checking out!!
