Something I came across...

Post by The_Bollocks »

I came across this on one of my usual eBay hunts, and thought you's might be interested....

http://cgi.ebay.ie/Carmageddon-Max-Pack ... dZViewItem

I was considering bidding on it, but the seller only wanted payment in Sterling, and not Euro's, and with today's exchage rates, fuck that, not to mention I don't have the time to get to a bank to convert money.

I did have a thought of getting it too, and might do. As my own old CD doesn't exist anymore. And I dig that mousemat!

Nice find. That's quite similar to the Carmageddon Special Edition box, which contains similar stuff - the mousepad, keyring, hint book, Carmageddon & Splat pack and a poster. The special edition box has some extra stuff though - a tshirt, and, check this, a 'Certificate of Questionable Mental Stability'.

I have one, and I believe Alan has one too.

Pre-order it? - that'll be clever...

If you can travel back in time, why not just travel to when it was released and buy it, rather than travelling before and pre-ordering?

That guy who is currently the highest bidder is a SERIOUS Carmageddon fanatic. You should see some of his previous purchases.

That doesn't sound good at all. Can you list a small list of examples? I can't reach it, I think. As I'm not registred. My bid got made by a friend.

That "special edition" did look quite cool. I guess I will make him pay for this "max pack", as I want to have it... too!

Well, the auction ended at £19, I tried getting my bid in there, but got outbided on the last 30 minutes. I'm on the hunt again for the Max Pack...

I didn't have enough to get over £15. Had to stop. Made an error when I calulated the currency, so no more bids for me.

I was gonna bid on this but I already have the games and out of the other stuff all i'd really want is the mouse mat. Doesn't look like the seller might not ship outside the UK though.

Not that anyone really cares, but I won that Carmageddon Special Edition auction. I am now a certified of Questionable Mental Stability; number 1533 of 2500! As Alan said, I think it would look good framed on my wall!
